Hi everyone, I'm new here and pretty new to sewing. I'm not familiar with patterns beyond what I learned in school (and that was well over 10 years ago so I remember very little). I recently designed a girls jacket and was asked if I had a pattern for it. A few months later I finished writing the pattern and now I need some people to test it before I put it on Etsy. I have sizes NB up to 3T available for testing. You don't need a serger to sew this jacket. It calls for about 2-3 yards of fabric, 1 to 1 1/2 yard for one side of the jacket, and 1 to 1 1/2 yards for the other side (it's completely reversible).
Please keep in mind my sewing skills are basic and I don't have all the terminology down. This pattern is a PDF file pattern with a full tutorial and pictures. The pictures aren't awesome and I'm working on getting new pictures that are easier to see and understand.
Basically I just need some feedback on the pattern. Is it understandable? Were the pictures helpful? Is it easy enough to read that someone with basic sewing skills would be able to sew it? Was the sizing correct for the age range? I don't want to put a pattern up for sale that isn't easy to understand. Normally I sell crochet patterns, but I LOVED making this pattern and want to share it with others.
You can see a picture of the jacket here
