My first pair of fleece socks... wth embroidery!!

I made some fleece socks for my soon to be brother-in-law today... I was suppose to get all the gifts in the mail this afternoon but the snow kept me in the house... They will be in the mail tomorrow. I hope they fit him... if not my sister said she would use them...

I will be making my own pattern for the larger sized foot... the link for that pattern only goes to size 11... which is okay for an average sized man and the person getting gift... but my husband is a size 16 qaud E... that's right... 16 EEEE... hahahahaha... and he WANTS a pair...

These look so cosy and warm!  Thanks for sharing the link to the pattern - I have been wanting to make a pair of fleece socks for awhile but was still working out how I was going to do it, this will be much easier!

They were very quick and easy to make! It was the embroidery design that took me a while.

I made kid pairs of these for Christmas gifts.  I added "puff paint" to the bottoms for more traction...the fleece is a bit slippery!

oh man! I tried making these (without a proper pattern) once and they just didn't work. The stretch of the fleece and trying not to get bulky seams just blew me away.  . . Oh well. You've inspired me to try again! Thanks

The pattern that I found and posted a link for was an easy pattern and directions to follow. When cutting the extra fabric on the seams make sure to cut as close as possible. I still have to make a larger pair for my size 16 EEEE husband's foot. I should work on that tonight but between the twins, 3 quilt projects and 2 doll patterns ready to sew I just don't know when I will get to it... hahahaha...

I never thought to make socks out of fleece - I've been a knitter for years - but, I do like those socks - especially for just lounging around the house...

Those look nice and warm for my cold toes. Nice job!
