Patch work quilt pattern

Hi there, I am a notice sewer.  I am expecting my second child in October and would really like to make the baby a patch work quilt for their crib.  Up to this point, I have only sewn small projects (mostly garments, small stuffies etc.) so I have no experience quilting.  Any advice on a good pattern and/or quilting books for beginners?

You should check out the book 'Sweet and Simple Baby Quilts' by Mary Hickey.  I have had it for years and have made almost every quilt in it.  They go to together quick and easy and I have been very happy with with how they turn out.  The directions are clear and simple.
