Spring/Summer top patterns for 10 year old girl?

My 10 year old is complaining that I always sew for her younger sisters and never for her.  There are not a lot of patterns for her age.  She hates anything ruffly (too girly) and find elastic thread scratchy.

Can anyone suggest a pattern or tutorial that might appeal to her?  I'd love to sew her something, but finding a pattern has been really hard. :/

Sewing Modkid Style pattern book goes up to a size 10.  I have petite girls that are 8.  I tend to make sizes 6 and 7 for them from this book.  Favorite Things pattern, little prairie girl is a great simple dress for girls.  I have the same problem with my girls with the elastic thread; it's too scratchy for them, so I can't make those cute pink fig patterns that call for that.  However, Pink Fig has great skirt patterns in a great range of sizes.  Check out my blog and you'll see some of the things I have made my girls and maybe this can help you out with pattern ideas.  Good luck!
