My favorite stores (apart from SMS):

www.fabric.com (they have coupons if you sign up for their mailer)
              Hancocks of Paducah
              Reprodepot
              Above All Fabric (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5444459)
              www.jcarolinecreative.com

I'm addicted to fabrics, much to my DH's dismay.   Wink

www.fabricattic.com has some of the best prices I've seen ($7/yd) and carries alot of designer names.

www.sewzannesfabrics.com has wonderful knits and lovely things like FOE (fold over elastic)

                  I also like: http://www.craftersvision.com/
I haven't ordered from them yet, but I know quite a few people who have and they have great prices.

What about fabric buying coops? I just joined one recently and got MM for 4.75/yd. Just look through Yahoo groups to find a few...

I'm a bit late to the game here, but I wanted to say that Kristin of Sew, Mama, Sew! provided me with terrific service, great communication and was amazing to deal with. I was probably the most difficult client of all [moving, inadvertently paying in the wrong currency, etc... ] but she was graceful, considerate and extremely helpful.

Look no further than here! Sew, Mama, Sew! is great.

                      Thanks!

Although the physical store is honestly 20 minutes away, I buy online fabric from the Crafty Planet (craftyplanet.com)... they have very fun fabric and cute patterns.  I find that I don't go as crazy when I buy online because I do less "impulse" buying.

I also buy fabric on eBay - especially designer stuff I find it hard to locate in person.

                              TO JOFLO

I'm in the UK too - and I've found ebay is the best place so far.
Have just had 7metres shipped in from the states from SewHappy17 (Spice Berry Cottage).

It was my first overseas order and worked out to be about £5.50 a metre (that's taking shipping and customs fees into the equation). I was a bit nervous about it actually arriving - but it arrived exactly a fortnight after placing my order!

I'm now the proud owrner of some lovely Kauffman prints for less than half the UK selling price!

There are some UK ebay sellers too which arn't too expensive - its all a bit of a big search to find what your after and the best deal. I find the Buy it Now option better as I'm too impatient to wait for the auctions to close.

                              Good Luck and Happy Hunting

I love to look at fabric online (less dangerous!) but have a hard time purchasing because I really love to feel a fabric and hold it in my hands. Need to figure out how to do that through a computer! Smiley
