Probem with my Speedylock 1600

    Probem with my Speedylock 1600

I have a speedylock 1600 serger I got from my Aunt and just started using it not long ago.  I had been sewing a lot of fleece and burlap projects lately (odd combo, I know) and when I went to use again the other day, it wouldn't feed the material through the feed-dog and through the cutter.  I'm thinking that maybe I need to replace my upper cutter?  When I shift the fabric to the left to bypass the cutter blade, it seems to stitch fine.  Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Burlap can dull a blade pretty quickly and with an older machine, I would recommend changing the blade.  You will be surprise what a difference it will make.
