sew a dress

Hi,
I am new to sewing. I want to sew for my daughters a dress. I found a beautiful and simple dress i want to sew. the sewing pattern is here: www.sewing-patterns.org
Is it too complicated for beginners?
Basically, i know that there are many free patterns in the web. But i prefer buying for a few dollars something i like and get a ready to use pattern and a tutorial for it. What do you think (about the pattern i chose and about buying patterns)?
