inserting an invizible zipper

After 20 years of sewing, I'm ready to put in my first invisible zipper.  I'm excited and a little frightened.  Can anyone offer advice on how best to approach this?  Do I need a special zipper foot, or will my standard zipper foot work?

I haven't ever put in a zipper, and am also about to try it.  I would love to hear the answers to this, also.

I used that tutorial to put in my first zipper and it turned out really well.  I even used a regular foot on my machine since I don't have a zipper foot for the machine I had to use that day (the new one with all the fancy feet is currently out of commission, lol).  I haven't worn the skirt in public yet but I love the way the zipper turned out, and that was the hardest part, the first one I've ever even attempted.  If you follow the steps in the tutorial it should be easy peasy!

Thanks for the link.  Is the process the same for an invisible zipper?  The package directions mention an invisible zipper foot and seem quite complicated.  I was hoping for a quick and easy how-to.

I put in an invisible zipper (in a Barcelona skirt) using this tutorial:  http://www.simplicitynewlook.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=92  The instructions are for using a regular zipper foot (rather than the special one called for on the package). 

Because I was on crummy dial-up at the time, I couldn't get the pictures, but I was still able to get the zipper in without swearing a blue streak (pictures in the Barcelona pattern were helpful).  And it is (mostly) invisible.
