A Line Dress Pattern for 2 year old

A Line Dress Pattern for 2 year old

This forum is fantastic.  I was wondering if anyone can recommend a relatively easy A line dress pattern. I haven't sewn in years and am just starting up again.  Thanks!

Children's Corner Lucy is an A-line jumper.  It is fully lined (so reversible) but you can very easily draft a facing from the pattern pieces if you don't want to mess with that.

I've only just started sewing, but have made several A Line dresses for my 3 year old using New Look 6578. It's really easy to follow (although the second time I did it, I changed a few things to make it even easier).

Here is the second one I made is here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/44928714@N00/3155833903/in/set-72157611959289689

Your dress is super cute.  I'm making a note to try the New Look pattern.  I'm always on the hunt for easy and simple patterns although I would love to be able to draft something simple on my own... one day.

You might try Simplicity 4927  I haven't sewn this one up yet, but it looks very quick and easy.

Very cute dress!!  I also use Simplicity 6578 for my girs.  Very easy & I line mine by making two fronts & two backs & omitt the rest.  There is a bigger one for when they need a larger size than four.

I love the Sew Baby! Reversible Sundress and Panties pattern.  It is all one piece and sews up easy!  Here are some pictures if my computer cooperates!  Sorry it is taking lots of space!

My mother made dresses similar to the Sew Mama design for me and my sister 40 years ago!  I found the pattern (Simplicity, I think) and cranked out a few for my nieces a couple of years ago.  So easy to sew and for the kids to wear as dresses or tops.  That pattern is one of my all-time favs.

I love them - really inspired me.  However, where did you get your fabrics from, especially the black micro dots one.  My local shops all have really boring designs in!!

                      Thanks

The black dot fabric is Michael Miller - Disco Dot Ink. I think it's fairly readily available in the US - I know lots of sellers of Etsy sell it, but I'm in the UK and haven't come across it so easily, even on the net. Luckily I have the most fantastic fabric shop near to where I live and I got it in there. There is a wide range of the Dots fabric - brown and pink, 'sorbet' colours, red and white.
                            Hope this helps.

Do you know if your local shop has a website - what part of the country are you in??

If I manage to find any good suppliers I'll let you know via here!!

I'm in Kent and the shop is in Rochester. Unfortunately they don't have a website (as far as I know).

I've recently purchased some lovely fabrics from www.dungareesanddaises.co.uk and www.fabricinspirations.co.uk
I also use my local John Lewis a lot for Amy Butler fabrics (I'm take a little child in a sweet shop!)
