Another Serger Problem

I have a cheapo serger (White something or other) that I bought on Ebay about two years ago.  I've had it into the shop about 4 times because it 'broke' in someway shape or form.  The shop always told me that I'm going to have problems with it because it was so cheap.

I'm going to be sending it in for the 5th fix because of a bent piece.  I'm wondering if at this point, it's just better to get a new one.  Or do I fix the old one and hope that it doesn't break again???

How much have you spent getting it fixed?  5 times in two years seams like alot of times and maybe you could have gotten a new one with warrenty for the money that's been spent on getting it fixed.  I guess the answer is up to you.  Maybe you can trade your current one in and get a new one at a dealer?   

I agree that it depends on how you are being charged for each repair. Many dealers will trade in & you will get money for your old one.

I would just dump it and get a new one.  Brother 1034 Ds are really not that expensive, especially if you are paying to have it fixed so much.

I actually got the Brother 1034D for Christmas & love it!!  I have never used one before & this one is very easy to learn on!!  If you get a new one, this is definitely one to consider.   

GET A NEW ONE!    I have the Brother 1034 D as well.  It's awesome.
