Best boy's pant pattern??

    Hello all!
    I need a sewing pattern for a boy's pant....would also like a good shorts pattern. Any come to mind?

      I have tried these from SMS' shop:
      O + S Sandbox Pants pattern is a great one (http://www.sewmamasew.com/ccp0-prodshow/PTOSPC.html) and I also wrote a review here: http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/?p=588.
      I heard some good things about this pattern also available in the shop:
      Little Smarty Pants- http://www.sewmamasew.com/ccp0-prodshow/PTFTLP.html
      I like this pattern because it has belt loops, but are pull-on!  The pattern is for capri's or shorts, but I'm sure you could simply lengthen the leg for pants. 

      Both are great patterns.

        I am looking for a boys jeans pattern that zips, not pull up pants.  Anyone know of a pattern like that?  Thanks for your help.  Jo Anna

          I like the Simplicity 2907 pattern.  It's a really simple elastic waist pants and shorts pattern.  Very cute.  I also really like making pants and shorts from old t-shirts like they show on Rookie Moms:
