Favorite white/ivory fabric for quilting?

    Favorite white/ivory fabric for quilting?

I love the look of bold prints on a white background in quilts. What is everyone's favorite white or ivory fabric for quilting?  I've used Kona cotton, but the weave is really tight.  I'm machine quilting, so it's not too bad until you go to stitch on the binding.  Thanks in advance!

I picked up a large amount of white fabric at the thrift store once and used it all the time for quilts.  It's soft and a little flannel-like, but very thin.  I think it's sheeting which would make sense that it works well for quits.  Other times I simply go by feel.

I LOVE kona cotton because it is so nice and sturdy. I have also found a 100% cotton in the baby section that is so silky smooth adn soft. Much lighter in weight. You might see if you can look through different sections.

I'm currently having a love affair with Kaufman's Essex Cotton/Linen blend.  It has some of the slubbiness of linen, but the cotton keeps it crisp after washing.
