Making a store bought top bigger??

Making a store bought top bigger??
    on: February 25, 2009, 10:27:38 AM
    Hi,

I am going to be in a belly dance show. The required top of my costume is way too small. It is a size Large but it is too small everywhere  Cry  especially in the bust.

Is it possible to take the top apart and add fabric to each individual piece and then sew it all together? I bought an extra top to use for fabric. I am willing to try anything.  I haven't had much luck with local alterations shops. I am desparate because if I can't make the top work, then I can't be in the show.  I appreciate any suggestions. Here is a link to what the top looks like.

It looks like that idea would work since its patchwork. I think it would be fairly easy to take it apart at the seams & add to it. Good luck.
