Reminiscent of days gone by, the Carpet Bag is a large, roomy handbag with a zippered top and dowels to add structure and shape. The large interior has one inside pocket which makes this bag great for travel, quilt classes, and many other uses. The shoulder strap is detachable and has a comfy shoulder pad.

(1 1/3 yards -54" wide fabric)
1 1/4 yards - 45" wide lining fabric (2/3 yards -45" wide fabric)
1 yard - 45" wide interlining (Warm & Natural or fusible fleece)
24" separating zipper
1 yard 3/8" or 1/2" cord
1 large button
2 medium buttons or 2 buckles (bar should fit 1 1/4")
2 -1 1/4" D rings
2 heavy duty snaps

46"-5/8" dowel
