The inspiration for the Building Blocks quilt is the vibrant & ever changing colours of the African landscape. This quilt pattern was designed to raise money for the Tenderfeet Education Center.
The centre cares for the most vulnerable children in Kibera, one of the largest slums in Kenya & the world. From each sale of this pattern, 2.00 dollars will go the Tenderfeet Education Center, to break the poverty cycle, through food, education and hope!
The design can be easily adapted to whatever size, shape or color-way you desire.
All fabric measurements are based on 44" or 112 cm wide fabric.

Finished Quilt Size: 85" x 85" or 215 cm x 215 cm
Material Required:
All fabric based on 44" or 112 cm fabric.
Quilt Top:
- Dusty Red: 1 yard or 1 m.
- Tan: 1 1/8 yard or 1.1 m.
- Orange: 5/8 yards or 60 cm.
- Dusty Pink: 5/8 yards or 60 cm.
- Brown: 1 1/4 yards or 1.3 m.
- Light Orange: 6 1/4 yards or 5.75 m
Quilt Borders: Orange & Brown: 1 yard or 1 m
Quilt Backing: 7 yards or 6.5 m
Binding: 3/4 yard or 70 cm (straight grain-double fold)
Batting: 95" x 95" or 245 cm x 245 cm
