Versatile By: Stashavalanche on 02/18/2011 03:25:33 AM Pros: quick, easy, customisable Cons: instructions not fantastic A nice quick pattern that is easily adapted. I have made 2 jackets - one infant sized and one 18-24 months, and have also used the pattern as a basis for creating a hooded foot muff for the car seat. Seam allowances are very tight and can be problematic if using quilted fabrics or fabrics with a coarse weave. I felt that the arms would possibly be a bit tight on a well dressed new born and increased sleeve width by half an inch with the second jacket (both untried so far as baby refusing to be born). Pattern instructions could be clearer and more detailed in places, therefore although this is a very simple pattern, I could see a total beginner struggling in a couple of places. |
