Late Lunch Quilt ~ Helen Richards PDF Pattern

Universities are busy places & no more so than at lunch time, as I sat in the Arts quadrangle, the autumn leaves fell & the afternoon sun tried to leave a little warmth in the air. I ate my lunch & waited for my students to return. I designed this quilt to capture that sense of life, of dynamic movement on a crisp afternoon.
Finished Quilt Size: 60" x 60" or 155 cm x 155 cm

The design can be easily adapted to whatever size, shape or color-way you desire.
All fabric measurements are based on 44" or 112 cm wide fabric.

Material Required:
Quilt Top:
- Oatmeal: 7/8 yard or 80 cm.
- Yellow: 1/4 yard or 25 cm.
- Olive: 3/8 yard or 35 cm.
- Warm Red: 1/4 yard or 25 cm.
- Purple: 1/4 yard or 25 cm.
- Dusty Red: 3/8 yard or 35 cm.
- Dark Blue: 5/8 yard or 60 cm.
- Sky Blue: 3/8 yard or 35 cm.
- Teal: 3/8 yard or 35 cm.
Quilt Borders:
- Dark Blue: 1 1/4 yards or 1.2 m (cut & sewn from WOF strips).
Quilt Backing:
- Dark Blue: 3 1/2 yards or 3.4 m (also use HST off cuts & scraps)
Binding: Turquoise: 1/2 yard or 50 cm (straight grain-double fold binding 2 1/4" wide)
Batting: 70" x 70" or 180 cm x 180 cm
