Penelope Plus is a feminine and comfy shirt or dress designed especially for the beginner sewist or for the confident sewist just beginning to sew with knits. All views feature a rounded V-neck with tiny gathers at the V for added charm. Choose between a short cap sleeve or a longer, kimono sleeve. You'll be sure to find a perfect fit with 3 sizes (from 1X to 3X) and 3 different lengths (for petite and average heights) to choose from. Because of the stretch in knit fabrics and the unique sleeve shape, the bust size on Penelope Plus is very accommodating.

Sewing with knits is easy and fun with this step-by-step guide which includes lots of tips, photos and diagrams to guide you along. Patty's line of 100% cotton interlocks, designed for Michael Miller Fabrics, are perfect for this pattern.

SUGGESTED FABRICS: use stretch knits only: cotton interlock, jerseys, matte jerseys, lightweight double knits, stretch velvet or stretch lace, 58"/60" wide.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS: based on 58" wide knit fabric, pre-washed & pre-shrunk
Views A and B (Average Length) = 2 1/2 yards (all sizes)
Views A and B (Petite Length) = 2 1/4 yards (all sizes)
Views C and D (Average Length) = 2 1/2 yards for main dress + 1/3 yard for ruffle (all sizes)
Views C and D (Petite Length) = 2 1/4 yards for main dress + 1/3 yard for ruffle (all sizes)
Views E and F (Shirt) = 1 3/4 yards (all sizes)
