cute pattern but....

By: junebug on 02/18/2011 09:29:24 AM

Pros: Good instructions the coat looks just like tha pattern. very cute!

Cons: The sizing is out of whack at least by American standards.

I made this pattern for a friend of mine who was moving to Seattle and was feeling a little depressed about it. We both looked at the measurement on the package and determined to make the Medium. The coat came out darling but the sleeves were way too small. She took the coat to a Christmas party and tried it on everybody smaller than her and the only one it fit was an 8 year old. I know I cut it out correctly because i used a tracing wheel. If you are going to use this pattern definitley cut it several sizes bigger. After spending about $100 on the materials to make this coat I was dissappointed.
