Perfect for large hardcover books! By: thethreadednest on 02/18/2011 07:02:38 AM Pros: Holds large books very well and leaves your hands free. Cons: Doesn't hold small paperbacks very well. My daughter and I have used this pillow countless times. The pattern is well written, easy to follow, and the instructions are accompanied by helpful photos (as are all of the Sew Liberated patterns!) This reading pillow is fantastic for holding large hardcover books, and is especially helpful for my little girl whose hands are too small to hold the large books for long periods of time. This is not only cute, but functional as well, and allows you to read hands free (you can enjoy a good cuppa). The side ribbons hold the pages of a book down very well and the center ribbon makes a lovely book mark. However, it does not work as well for smaller paperback books. I only wish I would have overstuffed mine as it has gotten a lot of use and is getting a bit smashed down (an easy problem to fix). This pattern is worth the purchase just for the piping tutorial alone. |
