Even lovelier than I'd hoped By: Jane on 02/17/2011 11:13:41 PM Pros: Plus there's the slip pattern I haven't even tried yet! I bought this pattern more for the slip option because I wasn't sure how flattering this drop-waist style would be on me. I made a muslin of the dress bodice and I loved it so much, I made the full dress. If you're tall you might want to add extra length; I'm 5ft 3 and the size M was perfect on me. The only alts I made were to leave the bias on the neckline on the outside instead of folding it in, which provides contrast and also makes the neckline a teeny bit higher, plus I took some fullness out of the top of the sleeves because I found them a bit too puffy. The dress bodice with waistband (my muslin) makes a lovely sleeveless top! |
