Shipping
- We ship using USPS First Class, Priority Mail and International Priority Mail.
- The rates are calculated based on the combined weight of the products in your shopping cart.
- Packages weighing less than .80 lb will be shipped First Class Mail, while those over .80 lb. will be shipped Priority Mail. If your order qualifies for First Class, but you would like it shipped Priority, please contact orders@sewmamasew.com.
- Whenever possible, we will put your domestic or international order in a flat-rate box or envelope. We can get quite a bit into these packages (see the table below.)
- The USPS variable rates are not always the most affordable. In some cases, you might be better off placing 2 orders, so your products go into 2 flat-rate packages. This is especially true of international orders. We will not automatically split your order for you.
- We can not assume responsibility for lost or damaged packages. In the event of non-delivery, we will do what we can to help you locate the package by providing label numbers, delivery confirmation information and customs details. We will not reship or refund a lost or damaged package. It is your responsibility to file a claim with the post office.
- If you would like to purchase insurance for your order, please contact orders@sewmamasew.com.
- We will not falsely claim that an order is a gift on a customs form.
- Most international orders take 7--10 days to arrive in the destination country, and may then take a few additional days to be delivered to your home.
- Shipping charges do not include customs fees to international destinations.
- If shipping was significantly less than what you paid, we will adjust your order before we process your credit card and/or refund your paypal account. We charge actual rates plus a very modest handling fee. There are several variables that will determine the actual cost of the shipping.
