New and noteworthy from Sew, Mama, Sew! readers:

~ Camille is celebrating her new blog, Snap Happy Mama, and her newfound love of sewing with a giveaway (you have through the 1st to comment, but do it today!). Head on over for some great photos, glimpses of a happy toddler life and more on Camille’s first sewing project (check out these great kid smocks!).

~ Tina created the Charitable Crafters organization in 2001. She writes:

I wanted to pass along our Charitable Crafters “Stuff a Stocking” Project that our Northern MN group is doing for the holidays. Our volunteers are creating holiday stockings and we will solicit community members to donate stocking stuffers. Many of our stockings will go to babies, children, and teens. We are looking for donations of handmade stockings (the funkier and “funner” the better!) and hand made stocking stuffers such as small purses, softies, iPod holders, cell phone cozies, et cetera. We will be having our stocking stuffing party on November 17th so we need to get the donations a few days before then.

Donations can be mailed to:

~ Tanya of Grand Revival Designs wrote a new Ruffled Skirt Tutorial and she’d love to share it with you. For more visit Tanya’s blog, Grand Revival Designs.

~ And… In last week’s Free Fabric Friday comments Anna asked:

Just wondering, does sewing your seven month old daughter’s entire wardrobe (well except for socks and singlets) constitute a ‘Create and Celebrate’?? Haven’t had this much fun in years…

We just had to add in a resounding, “Yes!” and “Hurray for you, Anna!” You have one lucky little girl!

Update: One cute and lucky girl… Here’s the wardrobe, and Anna’s daughter modeling a darling tunic. Anna has piles of pinafores cut out for upcoming holiday parties and park play (and she writes she was inspired by Michelle’s zipper tutorial on the Sew, Mama, Sew blog and now loves adding them in!). Aren’t you impressed? Go, Anna. Go!

Let us know if you have any swaps, contests, accomplishments or news you’d like us to share (email: Our next Create & Celebrate post will publish the first week of December.
