Most of today’s featured items would make great, quick gifts for couples (who doesn’t need a new/repurposed sweater pillow or a fun, new set of napkins?!). We also think the men in our lives (and on our lists) would appreciate a tasteful patchwork scarf or heat/cold therapy bag. It’s looking like Santa’s Workshop around here (Sewing Division) and we think fun, quick gift ideas are a good thing right now! Don’t forget to comment anywhere on the blog for your chance to win one of two $25 gift certificates to Sew,Mama,Sew! next Friday.

Sweater Pillow
By Jessica, gonzomama knits

Jessica is new to sewing but she made quick work out of repurposing a favorite sweater into a favorite pillow. Make some of your own with our Pillows tutorials.

Laura from Drum Circle Deva shares some of the gifts she’s making, including the patchwork skirts she also sells through eBay and Etsy (the skirts can be viewed on the right sidebar of Laura’s blog). She’s making things like her favorite pumpkin bread with chocolate chunks and walnuts or pecans, and patchwork scarves like the one pictured here. Laura also talks about the “juxtaposition of wonder and stress” at this time of the year, and much more! Don’t forget that you can make one of your own patchwork scarves with our Gifts for Warmth tutorials.

By Chara, Chara Michele

Chara shared her Napkin Tutorial with us as a quick and fun gift. Chara’s tutorial utilizes some different techniques than those in Carol’s tutorial, so check them both out. You can revisit Carol’s tutorial in our For the Table compilation.

Wheat Sack
By Megan, Creative Outlet Designs

Megan shared her Wheat Sack Tutorial for heat therapy with us and mentions that it’s a quick and easy gift for everyone on your list (including guys). She also has a poem to include with your gift. For fun compilation ideas with heat and cold therapy revisit Kristin’s great wellness bag how-to.
