School’s in full swing so it’s time to wrap up our FunStitch Studio Summer Camp! Don’t miss our guest posts from book authors Kristen Sutcliffe with Fabric Paper Thread: 26 Projects to Stitch with Friends, Annabel Wrigley with Love to Sew: 28 Pretty Things to Make: Jewelry, Headbands, Softies, T-shirts, Pillows, Bags & More and Lenka Vodicka-Paredes, co-author of Forest Fairy Crafts. We learned to make Wrap Stitched Bracelets, a Simple Stamped Pencil Case and we explored magical possibilities with a Gnome Game Project. Along the way Rachel from LuSa Organics + Clean., Heather from The Sewing Loft, Amy from During Quiet Time, Sabra from Sew a Straight Line, Meg from Elsie Marley and their talented kids showed us some great FunStitch Studio-inspired projects.

FunStitch Studio is a children’s book imprint from C&T Publishing focused on supporting kids as sewists, embroiderers, and quilters with quality information and projects. We have just a few more projects to share as camp comes to a close…

Heather’s girls took their projects outdoors to enjoy the last few days of summer with some ear bud fun using a Leather Bracelet Project technique…

And fabric painting too! You can see more on Heather’s The Sewing Loft blog. These projects were inspired by Fabric Paper Thread by Kristen Sutcliffe.

Rachel and her daughter Lupine created a pillowcase for brother Sage’s birthday, with a little help from A Kid’s Guide to Sewing. The pillowcase was made with love and includes sweet details like using a piece of Sage’s baby sling for the accent fabric. See more of Lupine’s beautiful work at Clean.

Meg from Elsie Marley and her daughter also worked with A Kid’s Guide to Sewing. Meg’s daughter made a fun backpack charm

With a few rounds of song and a virtual S’more or two our camp comes to a close. Thanks for the fun! Looking for more Craft Projects or ideas for Sewing with Kids? We have lots of tutorials!
