Sherri Sylvester from Thread Riding Hood designed a sweet Scalloped Edge Basket for us, coming up next. You’ll love it for organizing, gift-giving or even for a new little Easter basket! Sherri lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with her husband and two daughters. She learned to sew from her mom and really fell in love with sewing when her oldest daughter was born. Sherri started Thread Riding Hood as a way to share her sewn creations; she continues with the site because of a growing passion to make sewing simple and easy to understand. With a graphic design background, creating and designing flows naturally into her blogging as well. Sherri has created many popular tutorials, including the Simple Bunting Tee, Quilted Classroom Mat and Sunny Glasses Case. A growing love for all things quilted led to her favorite project of all, the Noodlehead Cargo Duffle. Sherri enjoys blogging about projects of all kinds, from clothing and bags to accessories and re-fashioned items.

For those of you interested in Canadian sewing, Sherri runs a popular Pinterest group of Canadian Online Fabric Stores, along with interviews and posts about Canadian sewing on her blog. She has also recently started a Quiet Book Sew-Along that runs through the end of November 2014. One of each of the 12 pages in the book will be finished every 2 or 3 weeks, making it a great easy to accomplish a special Christmas gift for your favorite little one.
