Wildwood by Elizabeth Olwen is the latest fall collection from Cloud9 Fabrics, a pretty combination of coral and blues perfect for your next sewing project. We asked Sew Mama Sew readers to participate in a Wildwood Challenge, to show us what they could make with this pretty, organic fabric. Heidi from Fabric Mutt already gave us a sneak peek at her project, in her Slow Sewing Journal. (Cloud9 Director of Operations Gina Pantastico also added her Slow Sewing thoughts in a two-part discussion about Organic Cotton Farming.)

This week we’ll show you what our talented readers created; Kirsty Cleverly from Bonjour Quilts, Carolina Carero from Love, Lola, Jennifer Waaraniemi from lea & lars, Heidi Staples from Fabric Mutt and Ren Murphy from The Inspired Wren all made something different and special with Wildwood!

In addition to all of this Wildwood inspiration, you can comment on any of the challenge posts for a chance to win one of two fat quarter bundles containing all 12 prints from the line! We’re excited to see what you make with Wildwood!

First up in our Wildwood Challenge is Jennifer Waaraniemi from lea & lars. Jennifer used the Noodlehead Super Tote pattern, a design she likes to use as a handy diaper bag.

Jennifer’s clever use of a variety of the Wildwood fabrics shows how well the different designs mix together. Gorgeous! She writes, “For the bag exterior, I used Navy Deco Petal, the bag lining and pocket lining are Ivory Forest Floor, the straps are Coral Full Bloom and the interior pockets are Pretty Posie Coral. All such pretty fabric!”

You can find additional photos and details at lea & lars. Look for more challenger highlights in the week ahead, and don’t forget to comment on any challenge post for a chance to win a big bundle of Wildwood fabric!
