Sewing machines have been a fixture in Hillary Lang’s life since she took Home Economics in 7th grade. Since then, Hillary has spent any free moments between her various careers (librarian, programmer, online vintage shop owner) working on her sewing and craft projects. Hillary’s current occupation as a stay-at-home mom allows her to fully dedicate herself to her love of sewing and designing, work strongly influenced by children’s book illustration and vintage toys.

Hillary runs weewonderfuls.com, a crafty blog about kids, crafts and inspiration. She keeps her online shop stocked with sewing patterns for all experience levels as well as embroidery and cross stitch designs. Hillary is the author of the comprehensive and well-received Wee Wonderfuls: 24 Dolls to Sew and Love, published by STC Craft. Hillary also designs dolls, toys and accessories for The Land of Nod.

Hillary is up next with a really insightful post in our Six Weeks of LOVE for Softies series, full of tips to make the most of vintage softie patterns. In the meantime, don’t miss the free patterns and more at Wee Wonderfuls. (The Wee Bunny is a classic in the online sewing world, and easy enough for you to whip up several before next weekend!)
