Donna from Ebony Shae Designs sells a wide variety of patterns for masks, finger puppets and baby items. Here’s an interview she did with EtsyKids that gives a little more insight into her designs and more. (Her favorite mask pattern is the ladybug!) Donna’s up next with a free finger puppet pattern and tutorial. First learn more in her introduction, and check out Ebony Shae Designs too.

I am a stay at home mum of three who worked as a Speech Pathologist in my past life. My beautiful kids add laughter and spice to every day and I now home school, so that I never has to go back to “work.” I love making anything– from clothes (sewn or knitted) to leather masquerade masks and, of course, toys.

In my humble opinion there are never enough hours in the day for craft and far too many for housework!

My love of making masks began more than half my life time ago, and continues today; making finger puppets has become a new obsession. For me, it is a little piece of history repeating. My mother used to make and sell her own finger puppet designs when she was a stay-at-home mother of two. When we began reminiscing one day, I couldn’t resist the challenge of changing the “face” of finger puppets today. For me, it is like I share a little of my mother’s love in every new design.
