Trick-or-Treat bags can be something simple and disposable, a fun tradition, pulled out each year for the big day, or detailed and costume-specific, changing each year. The treat bags you see on Halloween night vary almost as much as the costumes themselves.

I look forward to Holiday traditions as much (or maybe even more) now as I did when I was a kid. I love having something special to pull out each year so I designed and made my daughter a satin-lined, felt treat bag a few years ago (with black and sparkly pink felt – per the then-two-year-old’s request.)

This year, I am sewing some treat bags for all of my daughter’s neighborhood friends and scoured the internet for the perfect Halloween treat bag pattern. In the process, I came across a bunch of awesome (and free!) patterns and put together a list to share.
