Winx Club costumes are a sewist's dream and a little bit of a trap. Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna and Aisha each have a signature color, hairstyle and wing shape, and the show gives you a long run of transformations to copy: Magic Winx, Enchantix, Believix, Harmonix, Sirenix, Bloomix, Mythix, Butterflix and Cosmix. The trap is that cartoon fairy outfits are tiny and held on by nothing, so a real costume needs shorts underneath, straps that actually hold and wings you can sit down in. Below are thirty looks, from the classic transformations to casual outfits, the three witches and a full group, with notes on how I'd make each one wearable for a party, Halloween or a cosplay day.

Fairy Wings That Don't Droop by Ten O'Clock
Every outfit below has wings, and wings are where most homemade fairy costumes let their owners down. I build them all the same basic way and only change the outline for each character.
- Bend the frame from medium-weight craft wire or thin plastic tubing, one loop per wing, and twist the ends together at the center where they'll meet your back.
- Stretch sheer fabric, cellophane or clear sheet over each loop and glue or stitch it around the wire. Keep it taut; slack film flaps and creases.
- Draw the outline and the color sections with paint pens or glitter glue, and let it dry flat overnight.
- Wrap the center join in felt so no wire ends touch your skin or snag hair.
- Mount the wings on clear elastic straps worn like a backpack, or stitch a flat fabric loop inside the back of the top and slide the center through it.
Keep each wing shorter than your shoulder width if you'll be in a crowd or a car. Tall wings look lovely in photos but catch on doorframes and other people, and the frame bends a little every time. Tecna's angular wings and the fin shapes of Sirenix use the same frame with straight or curved wire.
1. Bloom Magic Winx Costume

Bloom's first fairy outfit is the one most fans picture. A turquoise one-shoulder crop top goes with a matching mini skirt, or fitted shorts with a skirt overlay, plus pale blue arm warmers, sheer tights and turquoise platform ankle boots. A long red wig with a side part gives her hair, and soft blue eyeshadow with a warm pink lip keeps the makeup cheerful. Translucent blue wings outlined in silver glitter finish the back. When I sew the one-shoulder top, I add clear elastic inside the neckline edge, because that single strap carries the whole bodice and a plain hem slips off the shoulder within an hour. A small flame-shaped purse or an orange LED accessory hints at her fire powers without bulk.
2. Stella Magic Winx Costume

Stella's version is orange and blue and very small, so plan the coverage before you cut anything. An orange bandeau-style top pairs with high-waisted shorts, with a short blue skirt panel or sash at the waist for her layered effect. Long blonde hair is non-negotiable: your own worn loose, or a straight golden wig. Shimmery gold shadow, peach blush and glossy lips suit her sun theme. Blue boots, orange arm cuffs and pale blue wings edged in gold go on next, with a sun-shaped bag or glittery compact as the prop. A bandeau is the piece that fails, so I put a strip of silicone gripper elastic along the inside top edge; fashion tape is the backup, not the plan.
3. Flora Magic Winx Costume

Flora's original look is soft pink with flower details. A fitted pink mini dress with a petal-shaped hem works, or a strapless pink top with a matching skirt, and green vine trim at the neckline and waist points to her nature powers. Her long caramel-brown hair looks best in loose waves with two face-framing pieces left out. Rose shadow, subtle highlighter and a fresh pink lip suit her. Pale green platform boots, translucent pink wings, floral wrist cuffs and a small basket of fabric blossoms fill in the rest. Petal hems cut on the straight grain tend to curl; I cut them on the bias or finish each petal with a narrow rolled hem so they hang flat. Pick fabric flowers with no exposed wire, and hang the wings from soft shoulder straps.
4. Musa Magic Winx Costume

Musa reads as pop star first and fairy second. A sparkly red asymmetrical crop top and mini skirt sit over fitted shorts, with red knee-high platform boots. A short blue-black wig in high pigtails gives her early hairstyle, or you can clip temporary blue color into two ponytails of your own hair. Silver shadow, sharp liner and a berry-pink lip fit her style. Add translucent lilac wings, red wristbands and lightweight over-ear headphones as the main prop, plus music-note earrings. Real headphones press a wig flat and push the pigtails forward, so I put them on before pinning the pigtails into their final angle. Wireless headphones and flexible boot covers beat heavy footwear if you'll be dancing or walking a lot.
5. Tecna Magic Winx Costume

Tecna starts from a purple jumpsuit, which makes her one of the easiest fairies to sew. A sleeveless unitard works, or a structured lavender top with matching leggings, and the pointed waist and shoulder details can come from pink metallic fabric, foam or removable vinyl panels. A magenta pixie wig shaped close to the face copies her hair. Graphic purple liner, silver highlighter and a cool pink lip finish the face. Her wings are angular, not round, so I cut them from clear plastic sheet or iridescent cellophane over a light frame and sand every point smooth before anyone wears them in a crowd. Purple platform boots, matching cuffs and a tablet-style clutch with geometric stickers complete her kit.
6. Aisha Magic Winx Costume

Aisha's first outfit has an athletic shape that fits her energy. A shimmery green halter top and mini skirt or fitted shorts are joined visually by a silver waist ring, with green knee-high socks or leg warmers and sturdy green platform boots. A long dark brown wig with soft waves gives her flowing hair, though a high textured ponytail is a practical update. Emerald liner, glowing bronzer and a rosy neutral lip suit her, and translucent green wings with silver borders finish the fairy side. For her fluid magic, a small pouch of pearly gel-style beads works, as long as it's sealed so nothing spills. I sew this one in stretchy dancewear fabric, which lets you jump around without anything riding up.
7. Bloom Enchantix Costume

Bloom's Enchantix is where the sewing gets more detailed. A sparkly turquoise crop top with curved trim and a short petal skirt go over dance shorts, with sheer pink ribbons at the hips and small crystals along the neckline. Long red waves are topped with a blue gem headpiece or small tiara. Blend aqua shadow with a touch of silver shimmer, then add peach blush and glossy pink lips. Large butterfly wings in blue and pink sit behind, and ribbons wrap the lower legs over flat blue sandals with gems. A tiny glitter-filled bottle on a necklace stands in for fairy dust. Glue-on crystals pop off stretch fabric as it moves, so I sew them on through their holes or choose sew-on stones from the start.
8. Stella Enchantix Costume

Stella's Enchantix is gold, orange and fuchsia. A glittery orange halter top pairs with a layered skirt of pointed yellow and pink fabric panels, over fitted dance shorts. Put a long blonde wig in a high ponytail with curled ends and add a gold star or sunburst clip. Warm gold shadow, luminous cheeks and coral gloss suit her palette. Oversized wings in orange, pink and blue sections are outlined in gold, and ribbon sandals or gold flats with orange leg ties keep the feet walkable. A small golden bottle necklace and sun earrings are the extras. Lightweight metallic fabric is the better call than heavy sequins here; sequined panels this size drag a skirt down and scratch the inside of the arms.
9. Flora Enchantix Costume

Flora's Enchantix is all pink petals. A pale pink corset-style top with supportive straps goes with a layered petal skirt in pink, lilac and soft green, fitted shorts underneath, and green ribbons wrapped around the calves over pink flats. Her caramel hair is long and softly curled, with tiny fabric flowers near the temples. Rosy shadow, a thin line of green liner, peach blush and a satin pink lip suit her. Large wings shaped like overlapping petals fill out the outline, and a small floral pouch or glitter bottle is the prop. My rule for a busy flower costume is to keep the biggest blossoms at three spots, the hair, the waist and where the wings attach, and keep the jewelry plain.
10. Musa Enchantix Costume

Musa's Enchantix moves like a stage outfit. Build it on a sparkly red and magenta halter top, fitted shorts and an asymmetrical petal skirt, with purple and blue ribbon accents that swing as you walk. Her long navy hair goes in two extended pigtails, using a dark blue wig with clip-in lengths if needed. Plum shadow, defined black liner and a soft rose lip work well. Butterfly-style wings in red, lavender and pale blue frame the back. Red ribbon sandals, jeweled arm cuffs, music-note earrings and a small glitter bottle tied to a bracelet finish her. Cut the skirt from lightweight chiffon, and expect it to fray fast; I finish every petal edge with a rolled hem or a thin line of fray stopper before wearing.
11. Tecna Enchantix Costume

Tecna's Enchantix swaps flowers for geometry, which is a nice change if you're sewing several fairies. Wear a fitted lilac bodice with angular pink trim and an asymmetrical layered skirt in purple, blue and green, with matching dance shorts and metallic wrist cuffs. A bright magenta pixie wig, violet graphic liner and silver accents give the futuristic face. Her wings are large but structured, with pointed sections in green, blue and pink clear material. Purple ribbons wrap the calves over silver or lavender flats, and a small geometric bottle or a gadget-style purse is the prop. Her look depends on clean lines, so use fabric glue, iron-on vinyl or neatly cut foam rather than loose trims that shift and twist as you move.
12. Aisha Enchantix Costume

Aisha's Enchantix flows in green, aqua and violet. Start with a shimmery mint or turquoise halter top and an asymmetrical petal skirt with layered blue and lilac panels, matching shorts underneath and aqua ribbons wrapped over flat green sandals. Long dark brown waves with small teal clips near the crown keep her hair soft. Emerald and violet shadow, luminous cheeks and berry gloss make a colorful but wearable face. Her large wings mix pale green, blue and pink with silver outlines, and gemmed cuffs and a tiny glitter bottle at the waist add the sparkle. A halter neckline in stretch fabric digs into the back of the neck by evening, so I make the halter strap wider than the pattern suggests and line it in soft knit.
13. Bloom Believix Costume

Believix is the Earth-fashion transformation, and Bloom's version is deliberately mismatched. Pair a sparkly blue crop top with a layered pink-and-blue mini skirt and fitted shorts, then one striped knee sock, one solid leg warmer and blue platform boots. A long red wig with side-swept bangs and volume at the ends gives her hair. Blue shimmer shadow, pink liner and glossy lips keep the makeup bright. Oversized wings in blue, pink and pale yellow carry the magic, with fingerless gloves and a small heart-shaped crossbody bag for your phone. Mismatched outfits can tip into clutter fast, so pick two main shades and repeat them on the top, the socks and the wings.
14. Stella Believix Costume

Stella's Believix is pop fashion with wings. An orange crop top goes with a layered purple mini skirt, a wide pink belt and fitted safety shorts. Orange and purple knee-high boots are ideal, but lightweight boot covers over comfortable shoes are far kinder to your feet. Long golden-blonde hair stays straight at the crown and curls at the ends. Blend gold and lavender shadow, add peach blush and finish with a shiny coral lip. Large multicolored wings in orange, pink, blue and yellow suit her sunny nature, with star earrings and a sparkly mini bag. Keep the skirt layers short but structured; a layer of stiff tulle under the top tier holds the flare better than more fabric would.
15. Flora Believix Costume

Flora's Believix makes garden colors feel playful. A rose-pink crop top with a ruffled neckline goes with a tiered pink-and-green mini skirt over shorts, plus green arm bands, floral bracelets and pink knee-high platform boots or boot covers. Her long caramel hair goes in full waves with a pink flower clip to one side. Petal-pink shadow, thin green liner and a rosy lip stain suit her. Wide butterfly wings in pink, lavender, yellow and green set her shape, and a small vine-covered crossbody pouch holds essentials. Ruffled necklines need a gathering stitch pulled evenly before you attach them, or one side puffs more than the other. Keep the florals to the waist, wrists and hair so the wings and skirt stay the focus.
16. Musa Believix Costume

Bright red and electric blue make Musa's Believix a natural for a music-themed party. A glittery red halter crop top and a layered purple-and-blue mini skirt sit over red shorts, with striped knee socks and red platform boots continuing the color blocking. Her long navy hair goes in two high ponytails. Smoky violet shadow, crisp winged liner and berry gloss suit her. Large red, blue and purple wings, headphones and music-note jewelry make the sound connection, and a small speaker-shaped purse beats a loose handheld prop. Try the wig, wings and headphones on together a few days ahead. They all fight for the same space around the head and shoulders, and it's much easier to move a wing strap at home than at a party.
17. Tecna Believix Costume

Tecna's Believix brings in streetwear. A purple one-shoulder crop top and fitted lavender shorts go under a short blue-and-pink skirt panel, with patterned leggings or one striped leg warmer, fingerless gloves and violet platform boots. A short magenta wig with a smooth side sweep gives her hair. Sharp lavender liner with tiny silver accents at the outer corners and a cool pink lip finish the face. Structured wings in green, purple, pink and blue suit her far better than rounded ones, and a tablet-shaped bag is the tech prop. For the geometric patterns, I'd buy or print patterned fabric rather than appliqué dozens of shapes, which takes hours and lifts at the corners. Flexible foam handles the angular belt and shoulder pieces.
18. Aisha Believix Costume

Aisha's Believix is sporty and vivid. Choose a turquoise crop top with a high neckline, layered purple shorts or a short ruffled skirt, green leg warmers, blue platform sneakers and fitted wrist cuffs. Long dark brown hair goes in a high ponytail or waves with aqua streaks clipped underneath. Green shimmer shadow, plum liner and bronzer add color without hiding your features. Her wings are broad and multicolored, with teal, pink, violet and yellow panels, and a small water-drop purse or pearly waist pouch is the prop. Breathable dancewear is the right base here. It stretches with you and holds its shape, which matters for a character known for dancing.
19. Bloom Sirenix Costume

Bloom's Sirenix gives you an underwater look with no mermaid tail to trip on. Start with a fitted turquoise-and-blue dress or bodysuit with scale-print panels and a short layered skirt, then add pink ribbons at the waist, blue arm cuffs and patterned leggings for coverage. Temporary blue and pink streaks in her long red hair echo the sea colors. Turquoise shadow, pearly highlighter and a glossy coral lip suit her. Fin-shaped translucent wings in blue and pink replace the butterfly shape, with blue wedge boots or secure ankle boots and a shell purse decorated with faux pearls. Iridescent stretch fabric gives the watery shine; I sew it with a ballpoint needle and a slight zigzag so the seams stretch instead of popping.
20. Stella Sirenix Costume

Stella's Sirenix pits glowing orange against ocean blue. An orange fitted bodice with turquoise scale-pattern sections pairs with a short ruffled skirt in blue, pink and yellow. Patterned tights and orange wedge boots cover the legs. Style long blonde hair in loose waves with purple and coral temporary streaks at the ends. Gold shadow, aqua liner, pearly highlighter and peach gloss finish the face. Translucent fin-shaped wings in orange, blue and pink stress the underwater theme, and a sun-shaped shell purse links her light powers to the sea. Keep jewelry small, since the prints are already busy. Printed scale fabric is far more comfortable than glued rhinestones, which press into your skin every time you sit.
21. Flora Bloomix Costume

Flora's Bloomix adds the shape of fantasy armor to her flowers. Start with a fitted pink dress or top-and-skirt set with layered green petal panels at the waist, then gold foam shoulder pieces, vine-like arm cuffs and pale pink leggings for a covered base. Long caramel curls take a leafy gold headband. Rose shadow, soft green liner and a luminous neutral lip suit her. Large wings in pink, gold, green and violet keep the floral theme while making her look stronger. Pink knee-high boots or fabric boot covers over flats and a small flower-shaped clutch finish her. Flexible metallic foam is the right choice for the shoulder pieces; heat-shape it so it curves over the shoulder instead of sitting flat and poking up.
22. Musa Harmonix Costume

Musa's Harmonix is the one to choose if you love fabric that floats. A fitted red-and-purple halter dress has a short base skirt and long sheer panels falling from the hips, with fitted shorts, music-note jewelry and pale pink arm cuffs. Her long navy hair sits in a high ponytail with curled lengths and magenta ribbons. Blend lavender shadow with silver shimmer and finish with a berry-pink lip. Delicate wings in lilac, red, blue and white support the dress without fighting the panels. Red ballet flats or low sandals with ribbons tied firmly at the ankle, plus a shell-shaped music box purse, finish her. Chiffon and lightweight organza give the underwater drift, but long panels get stepped on, so I hem them a little above the ankle.
23. Tecna Cosmix Costume

Tecna's Cosmix takes her tech style into space. A fitted purple mini dress or bodysuit carries silver, blue and neon-pink geometric panels, with a structured overskirt, metallic cuffs and pale blue leggings if you'd like coverage. Style her short magenta pixie wig into a neat side sweep. Graphic violet liner, silver inner-corner highlight and a glossy cool lip finish the face. Star-shaped wings in purple, green and blue give the back its cosmic outline, and silver platform boots with a small planet bag or a glowing star complete her. Reflective vinyl suits the geometric details, but stitch or bond it in small pieces; one big vinyl panel creases and won't bend with your body.
24. Aisha Butterflix Costume

Aisha's Butterflix is tropical green, pink and butterflies. A fitted green bodice goes with a short layered skirt of pink, yellow and turquoise petals, matching dance shorts, arm bands and green flats with ankle ribbons. Her long dark brown hair sits in a high ponytail with small flower clips. Emerald shadow, pink liner, bronzer and a soft berry lip work with the colors. Large butterfly wings in green, blue, pink and yellow get outlined in light glitter trim, and a butterfly purse or floral bracelet is the prop. With this many colors, I repeat the same green on the top, the shoes and the wing edges, which is what pulls it together.
25. Roxy Fairy Costume

Roxy is the fairy people forget, which makes her a fun pick. A shimmery lime-green one-shoulder mini dress, or a fitted top and skirt with shorts underneath, gets magenta waist details, green arm warmers and purple or green knee-high boots. A long pink wig with side-swept bangs is her signature. Soft green shadow, pink liner and a glossy natural lip fit her. Her wings are a simple butterfly shape in pale green, pink and orange. Carry a small plush dog or paw-print purse for her bond with animals, with paw earrings as a quiet extra. Leave real pets at home unless the setting truly suits them. Lime green fabric shows every pull and pucker, so press each seam as you go.
26. Icy Witch Costume

Icy gives you a cool-toned witch to balance all the bright fairies. A fitted blue crop top with matching leggings or slim pants goes under a long split overskirt of sheer icy-blue fabric, with silver wrist cuffs and blue knee-high boots. A long white or pale blue wig goes up in a high ponytail with two sharp face-framing pieces. Frosted blue shadow, defined liner, silver highlighter and a muted pink lip finish the face. For a prop, a clear acrylic snowflake, a crystal-shaped clutch or a glitter orb works, and a silver crown-style headband adds height. Keep pointed decorations in soft foam. Hem the overskirt above the floor, because sheer fabric that drags picks up dirt and tears at the first step on a staircase.
27. Darcy Witch Costume

Darcy is the moody one: deep purple, burgundy and smoky eyes. Start with a fitted plum top with flared sleeves and matching pants, or a long split skirt over leggings, then a burgundy waist sash, silver jewelry and dark purple platform boots. A long brown wig with straight lengths and face-framing bangs captures her hair. Blend plum and gray shadow, add precise black liner and finish with mauve lipstick. A purple crystal-ball purse or mirrored compact is a safe nod to her illusions. She needs no wounds or gore. Soft velvet and stretch jersey keep the layers comfortable, and a silver headpiece adds polish. Velvet slides under the presser foot, so I pin it far more than I would cotton, and sew in the direction of the pile.
28. Stormy Witch Costume

Stormy is all about the hair. Choose a big purple wig with tight curls and tease the crown gently to build her storm-cloud shape, then secure it with a comfortable wig cap so the weight doesn't drag it back. The outfit is a violet crop top with puffed or jagged sleeves, fitted shorts, opaque tights, a short layered overskirt, purple knee-high boots, silver cuffs and a dark lavender belt. Metallic gray shadow, violet liner, strong brows and berry lipstick suit her. A lightweight cloud-shaped purse with silver lightning patterns is a better prop than anything sharp, and silver spiral earrings finish her. Use foam or fabric for any pointed trim. She's theatrical enough for cosplay and still friendly.
29. Bloom Casual Outfit Costume

Bloom's casual outfit is the easiest costume here and the most reusable. A fitted blue-and-yellow striped crop top goes with a teal mini skirt or skort, blue knee socks and chunky yellow platform sneakers. Wear a long red wig with side-swept bangs, straight or softly flipped at the ends. Keep the makeup young: pale blue shadow, peach blush, freckles if you like and pink gloss. A star hair clip, a blue shoulder bag and a notebook with flame doodles suggest her magic-school life. Most of this can be thrifted, and a skort solves the coverage question without any sewing. It's my pick for a school-friendly party or a long day of travel in costume.
30. Winx Club Group Costume

A full six-fairy group lands best when everyone picks the same transformation and keeps their own signature color. Bloom wears blue with red hair, Stella orange with blonde hair, Flora pink with caramel hair, Musa red with navy hair, Tecna purple with magenta hair, and Aisha green with dark brown hair. Everyone wears a coordinated crop top or fitted dress, skirt or shorts, comfortable platform shoes, arm cuffs, matching makeup and lightweight wings. The detail that ties a group together is the wings: if one person cuts the pattern and everyone uses the same shape and finish, six different outfits still read as one team. Props can be a flame purse, sun compact, flower basket, headphones, tablet bag and pearly water-drop pouch. Anyone can add coverage while keeping their color.
Faking Platform Boots Over Comfortable Shoes
Nearly every Winx fairy wears knee-high platform boots, and real ones in turquoise or lime are hard to find and harder to walk in. Boot covers solve both problems. I make them from four-way stretch fabric over a pair of flat sneakers or ankle boots you already trust.
- Wrap your leg and shoe in plastic wrap, then tape over it and draw the seam line down the back. Cut it off and you have a pattern that fits your exact calf.
- Leave the sole open and finish the bottom edge with a strip of elastic that hooks under the shoe, so the cover stays down.
- Add a short zip or hook-and-loop strip at the back if the cover is snug over the heel.
- For the chunky platform look, glue a strip of thick foam around the shoe sole edge only. The foam sits on top of the real sole, so the grip stays the same.
Knee socks and leg warmers, which half the Believix looks use, can go right over the cover. Check the covers on a staircase before the day; slick fabric over a smooth toe can feel slippery even when the sole is fine.
Same Fairy, Six Very Different Builds
These looks cover solo cosplay, pairs of friends and full six-person groups. The classic Magic Winx outfits are the simplest to sew, while Enchantix, Believix, Sirenix and the later forms ask for more wings, fabric and detail. Most of them can be made from dancewear, thrift finds, colorful wigs, flexible foam, organza and homemade wings. Before you add a single crystal, sort out the shoes, the shorts underneath and the wing straps, because those decide whether you enjoy the night. Colors and hair matter far more than copying every animated detail. Pick the fairy, witch or casual outfit you like most, and adjust its coverage and footwear until you'd happily wear it for hours.
