The Miraculous cast is unusually colorful: Ladybug and Cat Noir, plus Rena Rouge, Vesperia, Bunnyx, Viperion and a long list of other heroes, villains, civilian outfits and alternate transformations. That's good news for anyone sewing, because most of them come down to a stretch bodysuit with color panels, a small eye mask, the right wig and one prop. The bodysuit gets the attention, but hair, mask, makeup, jewelry and shoes are what tell people which hero you are. You can buy a fitted suit, sew a close replica, or piece one together from activewear and craft supplies. I've started with the leads and moved through supporting heroes, civilian looks, villains and alternate versions, with notes on how I'd build each one.

Eye Masks That Stay On Without a Strap
Almost every hero here wears a small eye mask with no visible ties, and that mask is usually the first piece to slip, itch or fall off. This is how I make and fit one.
- Trace your own face. Hold paper over your eyes in a mirror, mark the inner and outer corners and the brow line, then draw the character's mask shape around those marks so the eye holes sit where your eyes really are.
- Cut it from thin craft foam, or from two layers of felt with fusible interfacing between them. Warm craft foam with a hair dryer and press it over your brow and nose bridge for a few seconds; it keeps a gentle curve once it cools.
- Seal foam with a flexible primer before painting, or the color cracks when the mask bends. Felt can simply be the right color to begin with.
- For the strapless look, use a skin-safe adhesive sold for costumes or lashes, and patch-test it on your inner arm a day ahead. If adhesive isn't for you, a thin clear elastic hidden under the wig works and comes off fast.
- Cut the eye holes a little larger than the cartoon. A mask that crowds your lashes blurs your view and smears mascara.
Taking it off at the end of the day
Peel slowly from the outer edge rather than pulling from the middle, and loosen the adhesive with its own remover or an oil cleanser. Skin under a mask stays warm and damp for hours, so wash and moisturize that area before bed.
1. Ladybug Cosplay With Red Spotted Suit

Ladybug is the one most people want, and her red and black read at once in photos. A fitted red jumpsuit, or a matching long-sleeve top and leggings, is the base. For the spots I use stretch heat-transfer vinyl; plain felt pulls away from four-way stretch the first time you crouch. Lay the spots out while the suit is on a body or a dress form, because spacing that looks even on a flat suit distorts once it stretches. A red mask with black dots, blue-black pigtails and red stud earrings finish the head. Keep the makeup youthful with a light base, rosy cheeks and defined lashes. A toy yo-yo or round red purse is the prop, with red ankle boots or fabric-covered dance shoes. Matte stretch fabric photographs cleaner than shiny costume lycra, which flares under a flash.
2. Cat Noir Cosplay With Black Catsuit

Cat Noir is mostly a black base and a few feline details, so the fit has to be good. A black catsuit, an athletic unitard, or a long-sleeve top with slim pants can all work. Add a small gold bell at the neckline, a black belt shaped into a loose tail, and a black mask. A tousled blond wig and cat ears give you the head. I'd skip colored contacts unless an eye professional has fitted them; green eyeliner gets you most of the way. Black gloves and flexible knee boots keep the line unbroken. A silver ring or a small black cat plush is easier than a staff in a crowd. All-black can look flat in photos, so a few textured faux-leather panels at the shoulders or sides give it shape.
3. Marinette Dupain-Cheng Cosplay With Pink Pants

If you'd like to be comfortable all day, Marinette's everyday outfit is the one. Slim pink pants, a white floral-print tee and a charcoal cropped blazer are all things you can find in ordinary shops, which makes this the easiest build here. Gray or pale pink flats keep you on your feet. A blue-black wig goes into two low pigtails with soft side bangs. Don't skip the red earrings; they're the detail that links her to Ladybug, and fans look for them. A small pink crossbody holding a sketchbook, fabric swatches and a tape measure nods to her designing. Peach blush, light mascara and pink balm keep the face fresh. I'd point a first-time cosplayer straight here.
4. Adrien Agreste Cosplay With White Overshirt

Adrien's civilian outfit is a relaxed alternative to his suit. Fitted blue jeans and a black crew-neck with colorful horizontal stripes across the chest go under an open short-sleeve white shirt. Add bright orange sneakers and a silver ring. A short blond wig with feathered layers usually needs a little trimming to sit right; I cut the bangs dry, a bit at a time, while the wig is on a head. Natural makeup with groomed brows and matte powder keeps him camera-ready. A black shoulder bag, a portfolio or a small cheese-themed accessory gives fans something to grin at. Light, familiar pieces mean you'll stay comfortable through a long, warm day indoors.
5. Rena Rouge Cosplay With Orange Fox Suit

Rena Rouge is all color blocking in orange, white and black. An orange jumpsuit or an athletic top and leggings is the base, with a white chest panel, black sleeves and dark boot covers. An orange-and-black mask, fox ears and a fluffy striped tail carry the fox. The tail is where most builds go wrong: a heavy faux-fur tail drags a stretch suit down at the back, so I mount it on a belt worn under the suit rather than sewing it to the fabric. Style a reddish-brown wig into big waves with white-tipped sections, or clip in temporary pieces. Copper eyeshadow, winged liner and light freckles suit the palette. A light orange flute or a small fox plush is the prop, with cushioned black ankle boots.
6. Carapace Cosplay With Green Turtle Armor

Carapace suits anyone who wants some structure without building metal-look armor. A dark green bodysuit, fitted sweatshirt or compression shirt with matching pants is the base. Layer light foam chest panels in green and brown for the shell. Craft foam is fine here because it bends under a hair dryer, while thicker EVA foam needs more heat and care but holds its curve for good. Green gloves, a hood, knee covers and a slim mask follow, with a short dark wig under the hood. Keep green face accents near the eyes only. Mount the rounded back shell on a small backpack harness so you can slip it off to sit. Brown or dark green sneakers beat rigid boots, and a bracelet and small turtle plush finish him.
7. Queen Bee Cosplay With Yellow Striped Suit

Queen Bee is stripes, so the stripes have to be straight. A yellow jumpsuit or fitted top and leggings is the base, with black bands around the torso, arms and legs. I mark stripe positions with chalk while the suit is being worn, since bands placed on a flat suit tilt as soon as it stretches over a body. A high black collar and a yellow mask sharpen the look. A long blond wig goes into a high ponytail with a bee comb. Crisp liner, gold shimmer and glossy pink lips suit her. Black gloves and yellow boots with stable heels follow, plus a light spinning-top prop. Level, balanced stripes are what make a homemade version look accurate.
8. Vesperia Cosplay With Yellow Black Bodysuit

Vesperia is the other bee, sleeker and more modern. A black stretch bodysuit with bright yellow panels across the torso, shoulders and legs is the base, with yellow gloves, a black-and-yellow mask and low black boots with yellow accents. A shoulder-length blond wig with dark roots marks Zoé's transformed hair and separates her from Queen Bee; if your wig has no roots, a little brown eyeshadow pressed into the part fakes them. Soft gold shadow, fine liner, peach blush and a neutral lip keep the face clean. Pin a bee comb near the hairline and carry a light spinning top. Small mesh wings on the back are fun, but keep them compact for crowds. Breathable fabric makes a fitted suit wearable all day.
9. Viperion Cosplay With Teal Snake Suit

Viperion's deep teal gives a cool, musician-led look. A teal bodysuit, or a fitted jacket with slim pants, is the base, with lighter turquoise scale panels, dark gloves and a black waist detail. A teal mask and a snake bracelet tie it to the character. A medium-length blue wig with side-swept bangs should look a little layered rather than glossy-smooth. Turquoise liner and soft brows suit the face. A compact lyre prop or a music notebook shows off Luka's music. I paint scale patterns with metallic fabric paint through a cut stencil; it bends with the fabric and weighs nothing next to molded armor. Teal combat boots or high-tops finish it.
10. Ryuko Cosplay With Red Dragon Suit

Ryuko is red, black and gold, sharp and streamlined with no bulky extras. A fitted red jumpsuit with black panels down the sides, shoulders and legs is the base, outlined with narrow gold trim. On stretch fabric, choose a knit or stretch trim, because woven gold ribbon won't give and puckers the suit. A red-and-black mask, black gloves and supportive red boots follow. A short navy wig with straight bangs gives Kagami's hairstyle. Clean liner, defined brows, muted red lips and a little gold shadow keep the makeup precise. A red choker, dragon jewelry and a round red accessory at the waist round it out, and stretch vinyl accents move with you where stiff pieces would not.
11. Bunnyx Cosplay With Blue White Rabbit Suit

Bunnyx is a futuristic blue suit with rabbit details, made for energetic poses. A turquoise or sky-blue jumpsuit with white panels across the chest, hips, forearms and lower legs is the base. A blue mask, white gloves and sturdy blue boots follow. A short, choppy bright pink wig sits under long blue-and-white ears on a firm headband. Tall ears flop unless they have a spine, so I sew a length of millinery wire or a strip of plastic boning into each one. Pink lipstick and turquoise liner echo the suit. An oversized pocket watch from foam or painted cardboard is the prop, and a small white tail pinned at the back finishes the view from behind.
12. Pegasus Cosplay With Black White Horse Suit

Pegasus is sharp monochrome with tech details. A fitted black bodysuit with white geometric panels over the chest, shoulders, forearms and boots is the base, with small brown or gold accents. Wear an angular black mask and sleek glasses; fit the glasses first, then trim the mask so the two don't fight over your nose. A short brown wig styled upward gives the silhouette. Matte skin, precise brows and a touch of silver highlight are enough. Add small horse ears and a horseshoe or portal-style prop. Black-and-white high-tops are kind to your feet over a long day. Reflective piping along the seams flashes in photos and reads as tech.
13. King Monkey Cosplay With Gold Red Suit

King Monkey is bright, lively and full of small details. A golden-yellow athletic suit with red panels across the torso, shoulders and boots is the base, plus a brown belt, dark gloves and a red-and-gold mask. A spiky dark wig, or your own hair gelled upward, suits him. Small round monkey ears on a comfortable band and a flexible brown tail on the belt complete the animal. For a tail that curls and stays curled, I run thick wire through a fabric tube stuffed lightly with fiberfill. Warm gold shadow, strong brows and a touch of red liner fit the colors. A banana pouch or monkey plush is easier to manage than a staff, and red high-tops let you jump and crouch for photos.
14. Pigella Cosplay With Pink Ruffled Suit

Pigella is pastel and round, almost fairytale. A pink bodysuit, or a fitted pink top with shorts over opaque tights, is the base, with puffed sleeves, a layered waist ruffle and soft rose panels. Puff sleeves on stretch fabric collapse unless you add a layer of tulle inside the sleeve head to hold them up. A pink mask, pale gloves and heart-trimmed ankle boots follow. A short blond wig in curled pigtails, a pig-ear headband and a small curly tail give the character. Rosy cheeks, pink shimmer and tinted balm keep the face sweet. A light pink tambourine or a heart purse is the prop. Mixing satin, tulle and stretch adds interest while the suit stays easy to walk in.
15. Purple Tigress Cosplay With Purple Striped Suit

Purple Tigress is for anyone who loves deep violet. A purple bodysuit with black tiger stripes running diagonally across torso, arms and legs is the base, with dark gloves, purple boots and a sharp purple mask. A long black wig with vivid purple streaks and heavy side bangs matches Juleka. Purple smoky eyes, black liner, plum lips and soft contour suit her. Small tiger ears and a light striped tail follow, with a cuff bracelet and a tiny tiger plush. I cut stripes from stretch heat-transfer vinyl or paint them, and I taper each stripe to a point; blunt-ended stripes look like tape. Matte fabric keeps every marking visible under bright hall lights.
16. Polymouse Cosplay With Gray Pink Suit

Polymouse is soft, approachable and very easy to adjust. A light gray jumpsuit or top and leggings is the base, with pale pink panels on the chest, waist, gloves and boots. A rounded gray mask with pink details and small mouse ears on a discreet band handle the head. A short multicolored wig with soft curls reflects Mylène's hair, and a gray hood is the simpler route. Rosy blush, pink liner and tiny whisker dots are all the makeup needed. A thin gray tail and a mouse pouch or a few mini plush mice finish it, with gray sneakers and pink laces. Light gray shows every mark, so I'd pack a lint roller and a stain pen.
17. Miss Hound Cosplay With Brown Dog Suit

Miss Hound mixes brown, tan, white and soft blue. A fitted brown jumpsuit with cream panels across the chest, forearms and lower legs is the base, with blue piping for contrast. A brown mask, gloves and tan ankle boots follow. A long red or auburn wig goes into neat waves, with floppy dog ears on a fabric-covered band. Floppy ears hang best with a little weight in the tips, so I tuck a few beads into a small pocket at the bottom of each. Warm neutral shadow, peach blush and a small painted nose make playful makeup without full paint. A flexible tail at the waist and a blue ball purse or a dog tag finish it. Washable athletic fabric makes the whole suit easy to clean afterward.
18. Rooster Bold Cosplay With Red Orange Suit

Rooster Bold's reds and oranges read from across a room. A red jumpsuit with orange and gold panels layered like feathers over the shoulders and torso is the base. Red gloves, orange boots and an angular mask follow. A short red wig goes up into a feathered crest; on synthetic fiber I use strong hold spray and backcombing rather than heat, because a wig that isn't heat-safe melts under a straightener. Orange liner, warm contour and a gold highlight suit the face. A rooster tail of soft fabric feathers at the back should stay narrow enough for crowds. A thumb ring and a sketchbook link him to Marc. Layered textured fabric at the shoulders gives depth with no armor at all.
19. Caprikid Cosplay With Black White Goat Suit

Caprikid's black-and-white graphics suit a simple DIY build. A black bodysuit or fitted shirt and pants with white panels around the chest, shoulders, knees and forearms is the base, plus pale blue or gray accents. A black-and-white mask and curved foam goat horns on a firm headband handle the head. Horns are front-heavy, so I anchor the band with combs or pins and keep the horns short. A short, slightly messy ginger wig suits Nathaniel. Soft gray shadow, clean liner and a few freckles finish the face. A small goat tail, white gloves and flexible black boots follow, plus a sketchbook of superhero drawings. Outline every white panel crisply, since fuzzy edges blur in photos.
20. Minotaurox Cosplay With Blue Ox Suit

Minotaurox is broad and powerful, but you can get there without heavy armor. A navy bodysuit, sweatshirt or compression shirt with matching pants is the base, with blue foam panels across the chest and shoulders to bulk out the shape. Lighter blue goes at the gloves, knees and boots, with a blue mask and short curved ox horns. A tousled dark brown wig, or your own textured hair between the horns, suits him. Blue contour accents and strong brows are enough makeup. A small tail and a nose-ring clip, only if it's comfortable, finish it. Foam shoulders make doorways and crowds harder, so I'd keep them no wider than your elbows. Supportive navy boots or sneakers handle the standing and walking.
21. Mayura Cosplay With Blue Peacock Dress

Mayura is the dress option. A structured navy or royal-blue dress with a fitted bodice, a high collar and asymmetrical skirt panels over leggings is the base, with peacock-blue gloves, heeled ankle boots and a fan-shaped mask. A high collar won't stand on its own; interface it with heavy fusible, or slip a strip of plastic boning into the center back. A sleek dark blue wig in a low twist or sculpted bob suits her. Blend blue, violet and silver shadow, then add defined lashes and berry lips. A peacock brooch, folding fan and feather hair piece finish it. Real feathers shed everywhere and catch on passersby, so fabric feathers are the better call. Iridescent trim at the collar and skirt catches the light.
22. Hawk Moth Cosplay With Purple Suit

A sharp purple suit becomes Hawk Moth with a few additions. A deep violet blazer or long fitted coat over a matching vest, shirt, trousers and gloves is the base. Silver piping along the lapels and a pale butterfly brooch at the collar follow. A smooth silver hood or a short light wig frames a structured purple mask. Cool contour, lavender shadow and defined brows keep it controlled rather than scary. A cane is a classic piece, but check the venue's prop rules before you carry one; a butterfly display case is the safer swap. Polished purple or black boots finish it. A removable cape panel that hooks on at the shoulders adds movement for photos and comes off when the room gets crowded.
23. Lady Noir Cosplay With Black Cat Suit

Lady Noir is Marinette with the cat Miraculous. A fitted black catsuit with subtle texture, a flared black belt that becomes a soft tail, elbow-length gloves, knee boots, a mask and cat ears make the base. A long blue-black wig worn loose separates her from Cat Noir's short blond hair. Green liner, smoky shadow, soft contour and a neutral pink lip suit her. Keep the red earrings visible as the link to Marinette. A small round black purse with a green paw finishes it. Mix matte stretch with a few glossy panels so the all-black doesn't go flat. Long loose wigs tangle at the nape where they rub a collar, so I braid the under layer loosely and leave the top free.
24. Mister Bug Cosplay With Red Black Suit

Mister Bug puts the spotted suit on a more structured shape. A red fitted jumpsuit, or a red compression shirt with athletic pants, is the base, with black spots and larger black side panels. Dark side panels are an old sewing trick for any fitted suit, because they narrow the way the body reads. A red-and-black mask, black gloves and red lace-up boots follow. A short blond wig with relaxed bangs shows above the mask. Matte powder, light contour and brushed brows keep the face clean. Red stud or clip-on earrings and a round spotted pouch carry the identity, and a black belt improves the fit and holds a phone. Stretch vinyl spots stay crisper than felt and don't lift when you move.
25. Multimouse Cosplay With Pink Gray Suit

Multimouse is a gray base with pink details and those double buns. A charcoal jumpsuit or athletic separates with soft pink panels on the chest, hips, gloves and boots is the base. A rounded mask with pink inner-eye details and circular ears handles the head, and I sew the ears straight onto the wig cap so they sit just above the buns. Style a blue-black wig into two high buns with short face-framing pieces. Pink blush, fine liner and tiny whisker dots finish the makeup. A necklace of small mouse charms and mini plush mice clipped to the belt suit her. Gray ankle boots with pink laces go on last, and fleece ears add a softer texture against the smooth suit.
26. Cat Walker Cosplay With Green Black Suit

Cat Walker is the polished cat, black with emerald green. A fitted black suit with dark green panels along the chest, shoulders, forearms and boots is the base, plus a high collar, green mask, black gloves and a slim tail belt. A pale blond wig styled neatly back gives a controlled shape, quite unlike Cat Noir's mess. Keep the cat ears small and close to the head. Emerald liner, gold highlight and clean contour suit him. A silver ring and a green paw pouch are enough accessories, with polished black knee boots. Velvet or suede-look green panels add richness, though velvet gets bulky in seams; I'd use a stretch velvet so you can still sit and walk comfortably.
27. Scarabella Cosplay With Red Black Suit

Scarabella reworks the ladybug theme with big, rounded hair and fresh spot placement. A bright red bodysuit with black spots across the torso, sleeves and legs, plus black side panels and a high red collar, shapes the base. A fitted red mask, dark gloves and comfortable red boots follow. Natural curls or a textured dark wig go into a full rounded shape; a soft satin band under the mask tie keeps curls in place without crushing them. Red liner, glowing skin, rich blush and a neutral lip suit her. Spotted earrings and a round red pouch like a yo-yo carry the ladybug, and a small fox charm nods to Alya. Place the spots so none gets cut in half by a seam.
28. Kitty Noire Cosplay With Green Black Suit

Kitty Noire is the bright cat, black with lime green. A black bodysuit with vivid green panels around the chest, hips, forearms and lower legs is the base, with a green mask, black gloves and black boots with green soles. A chin-length blond wig with soft layers and darker roots reflects Zoé's transformed hair. Black cat ears, a flexible tail and a silver bell at the collar handle the feline side. Lime liner, defined lashes, peach blush and sheer pink lips suit her. A paw-print purse or green cat plush is for photos. Reflective green piping helps the details stand out in uneven hall lighting, and it's easy to sew into the seams as you assemble the panels.
29. Shadybug Cosplay With Dark Red Spotted Suit

Shadybug turns the spotted suit darker and sharper. A dark red or crimson bodysuit with black panels across the torso, shoulders and legs is the base, with deep black spots, fingerless gloves, sturdy boots and an angular red mask. Blue-black high pigtails with straight, jagged ends set her apart from Ladybug's soft curls; I point-cut those ends with the scissors held vertically, which gives a choppy edge. Dark red liner, smoky gray shadow and matte berry lips make it intense without anything scary. Black earrings, a dark spotted belt bag and a crimson round purse follow. A few metallic accents at the shoulders add structure. Her attitude is rebellious, and the pose can show it while staying family-friendly.
30. Claw Noir Cosplay With Neon Green Black Suit

Claw Noir is the punk cat. A fitted black jumpsuit, or a faux-leather jacket over a black top and slim pants, is the base, with jagged neon-green panels, mismatched belts, black gloves and chunky boots. A messy blond wig with bright green streaks, pointed cat ears and an angular mask handle the head. Smudged green liner, light smoky shadow, a matte base and a neutral lip suit him. A flexible black tail and a silver ring are the key details, and a paw crossbody holds your things. Distress fabric edges with sandpaper rather than scissors for a worn look. Studs add texture, but choose smooth-domed ones so nothing scratches the people beside you in a crowd.
Spots, Stripes and Panels on Stretch Fabric
Most of these suits are spandex or athletic knit with color laid over the top, and how that color goes on decides whether the suit looks made or thrown together.
Heat-transfer vinyl has to be the stretch kind on spandex; standard vinyl cracks the first time the fabric pulls. Press through a cloth on a low setting, because spandex scorches easily, and test on a scrap first. Fabric paint works too, but keep the fabric slightly stretched while it dries so the paint doesn't crack later. Felt and glue are the weakest choice on a fitted suit, since they lift as soon as you bend.
Panels sewn in as separate pieces of fabric look the most finished, but they need a pattern and real time. If you go that way, a narrow zigzag or a serger keeps the seams stretchy enough to pull the suit on and off.
A wig you can trust all day
Comb a new wig out with a wide-tooth comb from the ends up, then wear it for an hour at home. Check the label: heat-resistant fiber can take a low-heat tool, but ordinary synthetic melts, so style that kind with spray and fingers. A wig cap plus a few pins through the wig into your own hair stops the whole thing shifting when you turn your head.
Start With Marinette, Work Up to the Bodysuits
The Miraculous cast gives you heroes, villains, civilian outfits and alternate versions for every skill level. If you're new to making costumes, Marinette or Adrien in everyday clothes is a gentle first project; once you're comfortable, fitted bodysuits, foam panels, custom masks and placed patterns are where the fun is. For any character, think about the whole silhouette: the base, hair, makeup, jewelry, shoes and one prop you can manage. Comfort counts as much as accuracy over hours of walking and posing. Breathable fabric, a secure headpiece, supportive shoes and light accessories let you actually enjoy the day you spent all that sewing for.
