Cleo De Nile is the Monster High queen of the mummy set, and her look is easy to break into parts: turquoise and gold, long sleek black hair with blue streaks, a hard winged liner, stacked jewellery and bandage wraps used as decoration rather than horror. The dolls have pushed that idea into shimmering bodysuits, sheer capes, wrap-print fabrics and pyramid-shaped platform boots, so there's a lot of room to play. Below are Cleo looks that stay true to the character and others that turn her modern, casual, dressy or simply warmer. Each one covers clothes, hair, makeup, accessories, a prop and shoes, so you're not left guessing at the finishing pieces.

Mummy Wraps That Stay Where You Put Them
The bandage strips are what turn turquoise and gold into a mummy, and they're the first thing to sag, slide or unravel. When I make wraps for any Cleo, I treat them as trim attached to the garment, not loose fabric wound round the body.
- Cut strips from cotton jersey or an old T-shirt, about two to three fingers wide. Jersey curls at the edge instead of fraying, so there's no hemming.
- For the gold strips, use a metallic ribbon with a woven edge, or glue thin gold lamé to a jersey strip so it has some stretch.
- Lay the strips on the base garment while it's being worn or on a dress form, so they follow the body when you move.
- Fix each strip at both ends and once in the middle with a few hand stitches or a safety pin on the inside. Never wrap a limb tightly; a wrap that's snug standing up cuts in once you sit.
- Leave elbows and knees clear, or cross the strips over them in an X, which bends far better than a straight band.
If you want the wraps to come off afterwards, sew a few strips onto a separate sleeve or leg warmer instead of the dress. You can then wear the turquoise base again and keep the mummy pieces for next year.
1. Classic Cleo De Nile Costume

I always start a Cleo with the palette, because turquoise, black and gold read as her before anything else does. A fitted turquoise top goes with a metallic gold mini skirt and black leggings wrapped in gold ribbon, plus matching arm wraps, a wide pyramid-style belt, stacked cuffs and a jewelled gold headband. The hair is a long straight black wig with blue streaks and a few fine strands of gold tinsel. Bronze shadow, a long black wing, defined brows and a deep rose lip give the doll face. Carry a small turquoise pyramid purse or a scroll. Gold wedges look right, but if you'll be on your feet for hours I'd switch to ankle boots.
2. Blue And Gold Mummy Costume

Loose strips of wrapped fabric make this version feel mummy-made without turning scary. Start with a turquoise bodysuit or fitted dress, then fix strips of cream, blue and metallic gold across the torso, both arms and one leg. I tack every strip to the base at both ends, because a strip that's only wound round will slide down a limb within the hour. Style a straight black wig with thin blue extensions and a gold chain headpiece. Glowing bronze makeup, a sharp blue liner and gold at the inner corners of the eyes keep it regal. A scarab-style necklace, wide cuffs and a light decorative staff go with gold lace-up sandals.
3. Glam Cleopatra Monster High Costume

Sequins turn the mummy queen into a party costume. A fitted gold sequin dress sits under an asymmetrical turquoise overskirt, with sheer black sleeves and narrow wraps on one forearm and one calf to keep the monster detail. Sleek black hair with blunt bangs, turquoise streaks and a structured gold headband, plus metallic gold shadow, a dramatic wing, sculpted cheeks and glossy berry lips. A jewelled collar, oversized drop earrings and stacked bracelets add the royal weight, and a small pyramid clutch is the prop. Sequins scratch the inner arm, so I line the underarm seam with a strip of soft tape or wear a thin long-sleeve layer beneath. Stable gold platform boots are far easier to walk in than narrow heels.
4. DIY Cleo De Nile Costume

A homemade Cleo can come almost entirely from a thrift shop and a craft aisle. Pair a turquoise camisole with a black mini skirt, then cover part of the skirt with gold fabric strips or metallic ribbon, and wrap more over black leggings and cheap arm warmers. Straighten your own dark hair or decorate a basic black wig with removable blue extensions and gold tinsel. The headpiece is a plain headband with gold craft foam and turquoise gems; I glue the foam with contact adhesive rather than hot glue, since hot glue pops off a plastic headband once it's flexed a few times. Bronze shadow, bold liner and a muted red lip, costume cuffs, a painted cardboard pyramid purse, and black ankle boots trimmed with removable gold tape finish it.
5. Last-Minute Cleo De Nile Costume

No sewing, and most of it is probably in your wardrobe already. A turquoise tank, a black skirt, a gold belt, black tights and gold sandals make the base. Wrap metallic ribbon loosely around one arm and one leg, and hide every end with fashion tape or a safety pin on the inside. Keep long dark hair straight with a gold headband, and clip in one bright blue extension if you want the contrast. Bronze shadow, a black wing, turquoise pencil under the lower lashes and a berry lip are all the makeup it needs. Layer several gold necklaces and bracelets and carry a small gold purse. It photographs as Cleo straight away, and there's nothing to fall apart.
6. Cleo De Nile School Costume

Picture Cleo bringing her royal wardrobe into class. A turquoise blouse with a black-and-gold plaid pleated skirt, fitted black tights and a cropped metallic jacket set up the student. Keep the gold ribbon wraps neat, on one forearm and below one knee, rather than over the whole outfit. A long black wig with straight bangs, blue streaks and small gold clips, plus bronze lids, a precise cat-eye, rosy cheeks and a dark pink lip. A jewelled headband, layered necklaces, a wide cuff, a turquoise book bag and a decorated notebook or fake class schedule as the prop. Gold platform loafers are comfortable, and this is the version I'd suggest if a school has rules against anything too short or too much costume makeup.
7. Cleo De Nile Prom Costume

A floor-length turquoise gown is a natural base for a prom Cleo. Look for a fitted dress with a high slit, then add a detachable gold belt and a sheer cape printed or trimmed with mummy-wrap lines. Long black hair goes into a smooth high ponytail with blue extensions woven through. A delicate gold crown and an oversized collar necklace give the soft gown some structure. Gold and turquoise shadow, a long wing, highlighter and a deep plum lip suit evening light. Carry a jewelled turquoise clutch or a light gold sceptre for photos. Before the night, I have the wearer stand in the block-heel sandals and pin the hem so it clears the floor by a finger's width.
8. Monster High Ball Cleo Costume

The ball look is built for dancing: a black strapless dress with turquoise ruffles and a metallic gold overskirt. The fitted bodice and full knee-length skirt copy the doll's exaggerated proportions but you can still sit down in it. Sheer wrapped sleeves, a broad jewelled collar and a gold fan-shaped headpiece add the royalty. Put dark hair into a high ponytail with loose curls and bright blue strands around the face, then go bold with gold lids, turquoise lower liner, sharp black wings and glossy burgundy lips. A pyramid-shaped evening bag is the prop. Strapless bodices slip when you dance, so I'd add silicone grip tape along the top edge, and gel inserts in the platform pumps if you'll be standing for hours.
9. Haunt Couture Cleo Costume

For a runway Cleo, I'd pair a shimmering black-and-gold bodysuit with a long translucent cape printed with wrap lines. Sheer layers, sparkle and high gold footwear are what her masquerade-themed doll looked like, so this one leans on those. A structured turquoise belt and fitted gold cuffs define the shape. Wear an extra-long black wig with blunt bangs and a few gold strands, sculpted gold eyes, an extended liner, glowing skin and a neutral berry lip. A tall geometric headpiece and a jewelled collar are the main accessories, and a small fan is a better prop here than anything bulky. Gold pyramid-style platform boots finish it, and a sheer cape that long needs a hem that ends above your heel or you'll tread on it.
10. Boo York Cleo Costume

This is the city-gala Cleo: a fitted turquoise mini dress covered in geometric gold trim, with a long transparent overskirt that trails behind you and a broad metallic belt. A sleek black wig with blue streaks, part of it gathered into a tall looped ponytail. Silver-gold shadow, turquoise liner, dramatic lashes and a raspberry lip hold up under stage-style lighting. Oversized gold earrings, stacked cuffs, a collar and a jewelled hair ornament, plus a crystal-shaped clutch that adds a slightly futuristic note. A tall looped ponytail is heavy on a synthetic wig, so I pin it to a braided base underneath. Metallic ankle boots or sturdy platform sandals handle walking and dancing.
11. Cleo De Nile Bodysuit Costume

A fitted bodysuit gives you a smooth base that moves freely for dancing and posing. Choose turquoise or black with long sleeves, then stitch curved gold trim on it to suggest wraps. I'd stitch, not glue: glue lines crack the first time the stretch fabric pulls over a shoulder. An asymmetrical gold hip drape, opaque tights and a jewelled belt give comfortable coverage. A straight black wig with blunt bangs and alternating blue and gold strands, warm bronze accents on the face, a sharp black liner, turquoise shadow and a deep pink lip. A fan-shaped headpiece, wide collar, arm cuffs and rings, a small turquoise bag, and gold knee-high boots that balance the close fit.
12. Cleo De Nile Jumpsuit Costume

Would you rather skip the skirt? A fitted turquoise jumpsuit with diagonal mummy lines in removable gold fabric tape is the answer. Add a black cropped vest, a metallic belt and detachable chiffon panels at the hips. A long black wig with blue streaks keeps it Cleo, and a braided crown changes up the usual straight hair. Smoky bronze shadow, a graphic wing, gold highlighter and a berry lip. A statement collar, cuff bracelets and geometric earrings, plus a gold scroll case or a small box purse. Black platform boots with gold laces are stable in a crowd. Test the fabric tape on a hidden seam first; some adhesives leave a gummy mark on stretch fabric when you peel them off.
13. Cleo De Nile Cape Costume

Here the cape is the star. A fitted black mini dress with turquoise side panels and a wide gold belt sits under a floor-length sheer turquoise cape edged in gold, fixed at a jewelled collar so your arms stay free. Long black hair goes pin-straight with blue streaks and a fine gold forehead chain. Bronze shadow, a thick wing, turquoise accents and a glossy plum lip carry the doll drama. Add stacked bangles and long geometric earrings, but stop there so nothing competes with the cape. I'd fasten the cape at the shoulders rather than the throat; a long sheer cape catches in doorways and a throat fastening pulls hard when it does. A small gold clutch and metallic platform ankle boots finish it.
14. Cleo De Nile Dress Costume

A colour-blocked mini dress is one of the simplest ways to look polished as Cleo. Pick a turquoise dress with black panels, an asymmetrical hem and wide bands of metallic gold across the bodice and skirt, then add matching arm warmers and a single wrapped leg. Wear a straight black wig with blue streaks, fine gold tinsel and a decorated headband. Matte bronze shadow, a precise black liner, turquoise pencil below the lashes and a rose lip. A broad gold collar, large earrings and layered cuffs, plus a small turquoise handbag. Gold wedges or black boots with metallic trim both work. If you can only buy one piece new, I'd make it this dress, since it does most of the character work on its own.
15. Cleo De Nile Skirt Costume

This one is built around a structured metallic skirt. A gold pleated mini skirt goes with a turquoise wrapped top and fitted black shorts underneath for coverage. Black tights with gold ribbon spiralling up the leg and matching turquoise arm wraps carry the mummy idea. Keep hair long, dark and sleek, using clip-in blue strands and a jewelled centre-part headpiece. Warm gold shadow, a black cat-eye, defined brows and a dark rose lip. A wide gold belt, collar, cuffs and turquoise rings, plus a miniature pyramid bag. Gold platform sneakers make it walkable. Ribbon wound round tights slips down at the knee, so I put a tiny stitch through the ribbon and tights every few turns.
16. Cleo De Nile Pants Costume

Tailored trousers make a modern, comfortable Cleo. High-waisted black trousers with gold side stripes go with a turquoise corset-style top over a fitted shirt and a cropped metallic jacket. Short wrapped panels at the hips hint at mummy bandages without getting in the way of your legs. Style a dark bob wig with blunt bangs, bright blue streaks and gold hair cuffs. Graphic turquoise-and-gold eyes, a strong liner, glowing cheeks and a berry lip. A geometric collar, stacked bracelets and statement earrings, plus a slim decorative tablet or turquoise clutch as the prop. Gold pointed ankle boots give it a sharp edge. I like this for anyone who hates the feel of a short skirt all night.
17. Cleo De Nile Mummy Wrap Costume

Soft wrapping is the whole point of this version. Start with a comfortable tan or turquoise unitard and layer strips of cream, black, blue and gold jersey diagonally across the body. Jersey is the right fabric here; it curls slightly at a cut edge instead of fraying, so you can tear it into strips and skip hemming. Leave the elbows, knees and waist loose enough to bend. A long black wig with blue highlights, thin braids and gold beads near the ends, glowing bronze makeup, an extended liner, turquoise shadow and a muted berry lip. A gold headband, broad collar, cuffs and rings, a rolled scroll as the light prop, and flat gold sandals with the ankle wraps fixed neatly over them.
18. Royal Cleo De Nile Costume

Rich fabric and structured accessories give this Cleo the most royal finish on the list. A deep turquoise velvet gown with a fitted waist, gold shoulder panels and a split overskirt over black leggings, then a floor-length gold-trimmed cape and a tall jewelled crown. Long black hair in smooth waves with blue strands near the face. Metallic gold shadow, a bold liner, sculpted cheeks and a deep berry lip. A wide collar, upper-arm cuffs, rings and geometric earrings, and a light gold staff topped with a turquoise gem. Velvet plus a full cape is warm, so I'd save this one for a cool night or a big hall. Hidden platform boots under the gown give height without wobbling.
19. Casual Cleo De Nile Costume

A relaxed outfit still says Cleo if the colours and the attitude are there. A turquoise crop top, a black denim skirt, a gold bomber jacket and opaque tights, with one narrow metallic strip around an arm and one calf. Wear your own dark hair straight or a shoulder-length black wig with blue clip-ins. Bronze shadow, a medium wing, turquoise mascara and berry gloss keep the face wearable. A gold headband, hoops, layered necklaces and a few bracelets, plus a turquoise mini backpack with geometric charms. Black sneakers with removable gold laces finish it. This is my pick for a long day out, since every piece is something you'd wear again.
20. Sporty Cleo De Nile Costume

Here the mummy queen joins the team. A turquoise cropped jersey with a gold number, a black pleated athletic skirt over fitted shorts and striped knee socks make the uniform, with gold ribbon wrapped over wristbands and one shin guard. A high black ponytail with blue extensions and a metallic gold scrunchie stays out of the way. If you'll be moving a lot, waterproof bronze eye makeup and a precise liner hold through sweat better than powder shadow. A light collar, small cuffs and stud earrings won't bounce around. Carry a gold pom-pom or a decorated water bottle, and finish with black high-tops with gold soles.
21. Cheerleader Cleo De Nile Costume

Turquoise and gold already look like cheer colours, which makes this one easy. A sleeveless turquoise top with black-and-gold trim, a matching pleated skirt, fitted shorts and striped knee socks, plus wraps on one wrist and one calf. A long black ponytail with straight bangs, blue streaks and a gold bow at the base. Shimmering bronze shadow, an extended liner, gold highlight on the cheeks and a glossy berry lip. Keep the jewellery light: a thin gold collar, cuff bracelets and small earrings. Turquoise and gold pom-poms are the props, and black athletic shoes with gold laces let you actually jump. I'd skip any heavy headpiece, since it won't survive a single cheer move.
22. Cleo De Nile Pajama Costume

For a sleepover-style party or a relaxed school day, turquoise satin pyjamas with black piping and a gold sash belt are surprisingly convincing. Paint or print wrap lines along the cuffs and trouser legs, and throw a light sheer robe over the top. Wear a long black braid with blue ribbon woven through, or a braided wig under a padded gold sleep-mask headband. Soft bronze shadow, small wings, rosy cheeks and a berry-tinted balm keep the face comfortable. Simple gold hoops and a couple of light bracelets, a turquoise pillow or plush pyramid as the prop, and gold slippers or indoor sneakers. Satin is slippery on stairs in slippers, so I'd pick ones with a rubber sole.
23. Winter Cleo De Nile Costume

Cold nights need real layers that still show her palette. A turquoise sweater dress over fleece-lined black tights, then a metallic gold puffer vest, wrapped knit arm warmers and a long scarf with geometric stripes. A straight black wig with blue streaks under a gold knit headband or jewelled earmuffs. In the cold I switch to cream shadow and a smudge-proof liner, since powder looks dry on cold skin. Wear the collar necklace and chunky cuffs on the outside of the knit so the gold still shows. A structured turquoise bag, and insulated black ankle boots with gold laces and non-slip soles for outdoor trick-or-treating.
24. Plus Size Cleo De Nile Costume

A turquoise wrap dress is a smart base for a plus-size Cleo, because you can adjust the waist and neckline exactly where you want them. A black underlayer, a metallic gold belt and asymmetrical chiffon panels move without clinging, and gold strips round the sleeves and leggings supply the mummy detail. Wear long black hair sleek with blue streaks, or a wig with an adjustable cap that you've fitted before the night. Bronze-and-turquoise shadow, a sharp liner, highlighter and a rich berry lip. A fan-shaped headpiece, broad collar, earrings and flexible cuffs, plus a small gold bag. I'd check that the cuffs open rather than slide on, since rigid bangles pinch on a warm evening. Supportive gold block heels or embellished flat boots finish it.
25. Modest Cleo De Nile Costume

Full coverage can be every bit as detailed and easy to read. A long-sleeve turquoise maxi dress with black side panels and diagonal gold bands across the bodice, sleeves and skirt, with a structured metallic belt and an opaque black underlayer if you need one. Style dark hair in a long braid wrapped with blue ribbon, or wear a black and turquoise head wrap under a gold headband; the gold band over the wrap still reads as her crown. Bronze shadow, graphic black liner, turquoise accents and a berry lip. A wide collar, long earrings, stacked cuffs and rings bring the shine. Carry a turquoise book or clutch and wear gold flats or low block-heel boots.
26. Punk Cleo De Nile Costume

Rough textures give the royal mummy a rebellious streak. A turquoise mesh top over a black fitted tank, a gold pleated skirt, ripped-look leggings and a cropped faux-leather jacket, with gold ribbon woven through the rips. A black wig in a high ponytail with blunt bangs, electric-blue streaks and tiny gold braid cuffs. Smoky bronze eyes, exaggerated wings, turquoise liner and a dark berry lip. The spiked headband should be soft craft foam, never metal studs, which is what keeps it safe in a crowd. Stacked cuffs, chain necklaces and a turquoise studded mini bag, then black platform combat boots with gold laces.
27. Y2K Cleo De Nile Costume

Early-2000s shapes suit Cleo's fashion-doll side more than you'd expect. A turquoise halter top, metallic gold cargo pants and a cropped black shrug, with removable wraps at the waist, wrists and one trouser leg. Long straight black hair with blue streaks, gold butterfly clips and a narrow jewelled headband. Frosted bronze shadow, a bold wing, glossy berry lips and a few small gold face gems at the outer eye. Hoops, stacked bangles, a jewelled belt and a turquoise shoulder bag, plus a gold-decorated flip phone that makes the era obvious. Face gems pop off sweaty skin, so I'd use a dab of lash glue under each one. Gold platform sneakers keep it comfortable.
28. Disco Cleo De Nile Costume

Reflective gold catches party lights better than anything else here. A turquoise flared jumpsuit with metallic geometric panels, a deep-looking neckline backed by a secure fitted insert, and a wide gold belt. Sheer wrapped sleeves flutter as you move. A long black wig with blue streaks, centre-parted volume and some gold tinsel. Shimmering bronze shadow, dramatic turquoise liner, luminous cheeks and a glossy plum lip. Large geometric earrings, stacked cuffs and a fan-shaped headpiece fill out the shape, and a mirrored turquoise clutch is the prop. Flares need the right hem length with the shoes on, so I'd hem the jumpsuit while wearing the gold platform boots with their block sole.
29. Cleo De Nile Masquerade Costume

A small eye mask adds mystery without hiding the makeup and hair that make her recognisable. A fitted black gown with turquoise panels, a shimmering gold bodice and a sheer wrap-print cape is the base. Choose a gold mask that covers only around the eyes and ties on with ribbon; anything larger cuts your side vision on a dance floor. A high braided ponytail with blue extensions and gold cuffs keeps the hair clear of the ties. Bronze shadow under the mask, defined brows, a subtle liner, highlighted cheeks and berry lips. A jewelled collar, long earrings, stacked bracelets and an ornate headband, a gold folding fan as the prop, and turquoise-and-gold platform shoes.
30. Cleo De Nile Queen Costume

The queen version is all angles, which sets it apart from the softer royal gown. A turquoise column dress with angular gold shoulder pieces, a black cape and a wide metallic belt. The tall fan-shaped crown is lightweight craft foam; I heat-shape the curve with a hair dryer and seal it with a couple of coats of paint so it doesn't flop by midnight. Long black hair under the crown with blue strands framing the face. Metallic gold lids, a double wing, turquoise on the lower lashes, sculpted cheeks and a deep rose lip. A large collar, cuffs, rings and geometric earrings, a light ceremonial staff or turquoise orb, and gold knee-high boots.
31. Cute Cleo De Nile Costume

Soft shapes make a sweeter Cleo. A turquoise puff-sleeve top, a gold skater skirt, black tights and a short sheer cape, with tidy symmetrical ribbon wraps at the wrists and ankles. A black bob wig with blue ends, straight bangs and small gold bow clips. Sparkling bronze shadow, rounded wings, rosy cheeks, a few tiny gold face gems and a pink-berry lip. A light collar, heart-shaped turquoise earrings and slim bangles, plus a plush pyramid or a turquoise cat-shaped purse. Gold Mary Janes or platform sneakers finish it. Younger fans tend to like this version best, and it's the easiest one to move in.
32. Scary Cleo De Nile Costume

A scary Cleo should stay stylised: muted colours and dramatic makeup, not gore. Start with a distressed-look turquoise dress over black tights, then add uneven strips of gray, blue and tarnished gold around the torso and limbs. I age fabric strips by dipping them in cold tea and letting them dry crumpled, which gives a stained look without any paint. A long black wig with faded blue streaks and tousled ends. Hollow the cheeks with a cool brown shadow, then add smoky bronze eyes, a sharp liner, muted lips and fine gold crack lines, with no wounds or blood. An aged headband, collar, cuffs and rings, an old-looking scroll, and weathered black platform boots with the ankle wraps fixed securely.
33. Neon Cleo De Nile Costume

Electric colour makes the turquoise-and-gold pairing feel new. A bright turquoise mini dress with fluorescent blue wrap bands, reflective gold trim and a cropped black jacket, plus neon arm and leg wraps. A sleek black wig with vivid blue extensions, gold tinsel and a geometric headband. Bright turquoise shadow, a precise black liner, gold inner-corner highlight and a glossy magenta lip. Reflective cuffs, oversized earrings and a clear neon bag, and a glow-effect fan that doesn't flash hard. Neon fabric only really glows under black light, so I'd check what lighting the party has before counting on it. White or black platform sneakers with turquoise and gold accents finish it.
34. Vintage Hollywood Cleo Costume

Old-Hollywood glamour gives the mummy queen a grown-up evening look. A floor-length turquoise satin gown with a fitted waist, draped sleeves and gold geometric trim, with a black faux-fur stole or velvet cape for texture. The screen Cleopatras of that era leaned on smooth waves and a long elegant wing, so I'd style long black hair into side-parted waves with one blue streak and a jewelled gold comb. Blended bronze shadow, the wing, defined lashes, luminous cheeks and a berry-red lip. A broad collar necklace, drop earrings, a cuff and rings, a structured gold evening bag, and low gold peep-toe heels or metallic flats under the gown. Satin shows every pin mark, so do your hemming with clips, not pins.
35. Modern Cleopatra Monster High Costume

This modern take puts each signature detail into a polished outfit you could almost wear out. A fitted turquoise blazer over a gold top, high-waisted black shorts, opaque tights and a detachable asymmetrical wrap panel, with thin metallic bands round one sleeve and one leg. Long black hair with a glassy straight finish, subtle blue extensions and a minimal gold headband. Sharp bronze-and-turquoise eyes, a lifted liner, glowing cheeks and deep berry lips. A geometric collar, bold earrings, stacked cuffs, a structured turquoise mini bag and a slim gold fan. Black platform ankle boots with gold hardware finish it, and the blazer is the piece I'd keep for everyday afterwards.
The Wig, the Gold and Where It All Rubs Off
Long black wigs with streaks
Cleo's hair is long and pin-straight, which sounds simple but shows every tangle on a cheap synthetic wig. I brush it with a wide-tooth comb and a little wig spray before wearing, and keep the back away from a high collar or cape fastening, since rubbing there makes the ends frizz fast. Clip-in blue streaks look better than dyed ones on a wig, and you can move them to frame your face. Go light on gold tinsel; a few strands is enough, and a lot of it knots into the wig by the end of the night.
Gold makeup and turquoise fabric
Bronze and gold shimmer shadow is gorgeous on her, but it transfers. A bronzed jaw or chest leaves a mark on turquoise satin and pale jersey wraps, and it won't fully come out. I set any shimmer on the neck and chest with translucent powder and keep the strongest gold on the eyes, which never touch fabric. Use cosmetic glitter only, never craft glitter near the eyes.
The wing
Her liner is long and sharp. A strip of tape from the outer corner toward the end of the brow gives both eyes the same angle, and a waterproof liner keeps the wing from smudging into your lids by the second hour.
Which Cleo Would You Wear to the Party?
Every Cleo here rests on the same few details: turquoise and gold, sleek dark hair, a wrap or two, real jewellery weight, a bold liner and shoes you can stand in. From there you can follow the classic doll or move her into a gown, jumpsuit, uniform, casual outfit, masquerade or winter layers. Spend on the two or three pieces that carry the character rather than buying everything. Fix every wrap firmly, keep props light and walk around in the shoes at home first. Then pick the Cleo that matches your comfort and your mood, and wear her like royalty.
