Catwoman bends to almost any style: sleek, retro, tactical, comic-book bright, or pieced together from what's already in your closet. The fifty versions below run from the classic black catsuit to colorful comic takes and practical builds for different ages, bodies, budgets and comfort levels, and each one covers the base, ears, mask, makeup, accessories and shoes. From a styling point of view, three things carry the character every time: pointed ears, a mask and a little stolen sparkle. Get those right and the rest can be faux leather, soft stretch separates or plain black clothes.

Cat Ears and Masks You Can See Through All Night
Nearly every look below uses the same two pieces, the ears and the mask, and they cause most of the discomfort. I fit both before I think about anything else.
- Hold the mask up and look sideways. If the eye holes cut off your view of a doorframe or a step, widen them with small scissors before you go anywhere.
- Ribbon or wide elastic ties sit flatter than the thin cord on cheap masks, which digs in behind the ears. On a foam mask, I glue soft felt to the back wherever it touches skin.
- Ears should sit just in front of the crown and tilt slightly forward. Set too far back, they vanish in photos taken from the front.
- Stiffen felt ears with a second layer and a piece of craft foam between them, or cut them from thin EVA foam, which curves under a hair dryer and holds the shape once cool.
- Match the headband to your hair, or wrap it in a strip of fabric the same color.
If you're wearing a cowl that covers your ears, put it on and have someone talk to you from across the room. A snug cowl muffles more than you'd expect, and it's worth cutting small openings over the ears or switching to a headband and eye mask.
1. Classic Black Catwoman Costume

The all-black version reads as Catwoman faster than anything else. A fitted long-sleeve jumpsuit in stretch fabric or matte faux leather, then a pointed-ear cowl, or a black eye mask with a separate ear headband. Tuck your hair away or wear a smooth black bob wig. Winged liner, charcoal shadow and a subtle cat nose. A wide utility belt with one small pouch gives the burglar shape without bulk. Black gloves and low-heeled knee-high boots finish it. Before buying a cowl, I check that it doesn't press on the ears; you need to hear people at a party, and a tight cowl muffles everything.
2. Stitched Black Catwoman Costume

Jagged white stitching turns plain black into the patched-together version fans know. Use a fitted black jumpsuit, or a long-sleeve bodysuit with high-waisted leggings. Draw the stitches with thick white fabric paint or hand-sew loose white thread along the arms, legs, waist and cowl, keeping the lines uneven on purpose. On stretch fabric, I stretch the area gently while painting so the lines don't crack when you move. A blonde bob wig peeking out under the mask, smoky eyes and a berry lip. Smooth gloves, a corset-style belt, tall block-heel boots and a faux diamond in a velvet pouch.
3. Modern Tactical Catwoman Costume

If you'd rather have an action-ready outfit than a shiny catsuit, go tactical: a fitted black mock-neck, reinforced cargo leggings and a cropped utility vest. A structured cat-ear mask, fingerless gloves and a wide belt with small zip pouches. A short dark pixie wig suits it, or a sleek ponytail. Matte skin, black winged liner and soft brows. Lace-up combat boots for standing all evening, and a small backpack or crossbody for essentials. I like this one because it needs no sewing at all; the vest and pouches do the detailing for you.
4. Knit Mask Catwoman Costume

A ribbed knit mask gives Catwoman a grounded, street-level look. Pair a fitted black turtleneck with coated leggings or straight faux-leather pants, and add a close black knit hood with two small pointed ears and the lower face open. A short black wig fits under it, or hair in a low bun. Smudged charcoal liner, neutral lipstick and soft contour rather than heavy makeup. Slim gloves, a plain belt, sturdy knee-high boots and a compact messenger bag. Knit hoods get warm indoors, so I'd pick a thin cotton rib over chunky acrylic, which also pills where it rubs a wig.
5. Sparkly 1960s Catwoman Costume

The 1960s TV version is shimmer and attitude. A long-sleeve lurex jumpsuit, or a glittery fitted top over black stretch pants. A low-profile ear headpiece, a wide gold chain belt and a matching statement necklace. Dark hair in a big 1960s blowout, or a shoulder-length wig with flipped ends. Bold winged liner, defined lashes, arched brows and a neutral lip. Elbow-length gloves and pointed ankle boots or low pumps. A gold pouch of oversized faux gems makes a fun photo prop. Lurex can be scratchy at the seams, so I check the underarms before buying and wear a thin layer beneath if needed.
6. Purple 1990s Catwoman Costume

Purple gives Catwoman a bold comic-book look. A plum or violet long-sleeve jumpsuit, tall black gloves and over-the-knee black boots. A purple cowl with an open back lets long dark hair hang free, and a black wig sharpens the contrast. Purple shadow, crisp liner and a deep berry lip. A wide black belt with a couple of small pouches, a soft black collar and a faux gem. Purple jersey comes in endless shades, so I take the gloves and boots along when I shop to make sure the purple doesn't turn muddy next to them. It stands out clearly in bright rooms.
7. Purple Dress Catwoman Costume

For the early comic silhouette, wear a long purple dress with a green cape. A fitted long-sleeve midi with some stretch, a sweeping emerald cape fixed with a gold clasp, a purple ear cowl, matching gloves and a narrow gold belt. Black hair in polished waves or a long dark wig. Classic winged liner, plum lipstick and soft highlight. Purple or black heeled boots rather than thin pumps if you'll be walking, and a faux emerald in a small gold pouch. A heavy cape pulls back on the neckline and chokes, so I attach mine at the shoulders instead of hanging it from the throat.
8. Gray Animated Catwoman Costume

Gray captures the clean simplicity of classic animation. A charcoal-gray jumpsuit with black opera gloves, a black belt and knee-high boots. A gray cowl that frames the face and covers most of the hair, or a straight blonde bob showing at the back if you prefer a wig. Pale matte skin, black liner, defined lashes and a muted red lip. A small gray pouch or faux pearl necklace hints at her taste for valuables. Matte fabric matters most here; shine blurs the flat color blocks that make this version read. It's comfortable for family events and animation-themed groups.
9. Black Animated Catwoman Costume

The black animated version depends on clean lines. A matte black unitard, or a mock-neck bodysuit with smooth leggings. A sleek cowl with tall pointed ears and pale eye openings, as long as you can still see clearly through them. Tuck all your hair inside. Gray shadow, precise liner and dark rose lipstick. Long gloves, flat knee-high boots, a slim gray belt with one pouch, and a faux pearl or big costume jewel. I'd keep texture to a minimum; one ribbed sleeve or shiny panel breaks the cartoon flatness.
10. Bronze Age Catwoman Costume

This vintage comic version swaps the cowl for a red domino mask. A fitted black jumpsuit or long-sleeve top tucked into high-waisted leggings, a wide flared collar in pale blue or white, and a black ear headband. A long dark wig gives it the illustrated feel. Red lipstick, blue-gray shadow and strong winged liner. Tall gloves, a simple belt and knee-high pirate-style boots with folded cuffs. A flared collar droops unless it's backed, so I cut it from felt and fuse heavy interfacing behind it. A soft detachable tail is optional. It suits fans who want something different from the movie suits.
11. White Arctic Catwoman Costume

Icy white is a sharp change from the usual black. A fitted white or light-gray jumpsuit under a cropped faux-fur jacket, a white ear mask, a silver belt, soft gloves and weather-friendly knee-high boots. A platinum bob wig or sleek silver ponytail. Cool gray shadow, black liner, frosted highlight and a soft mauve lip. A silver pouch and one oversized faux crystal. Outdoors, add thermal leggings and a jacket that closes properly. White shows foundation marks at the collar, so I set the neck with powder and get dressed only after the face is done.
12. Blue Velvet Catwoman Costume

Navy velvet makes a dressier Catwoman. A fitted velvet jumpsuit, or a long-sleeve velvet bodysuit with matching stretch pants, a navy ear mask, elbow-length gloves and a slim silver belt. Glossy black waves left visible behind the mask soften it. Midnight-blue shadow, winged liner, luminous skin and a cool berry lip. Pointed navy ankle boots, or black knee-highs for stronger contrast. A silver clutch with faux sapphires is both bag and prop. Stretch velvet catches light softly without the glare of vinyl, and it's far kinder to sit in through a costume dinner.
13. Black And Gold Catwoman Costume

Gold accents make plain black look intentional. A matte black jumpsuit or fitted top and leggings, a black mask with gold-trimmed ears, a metallic belt, gold cuffs over long gloves and black boots with small gold buckles. A sleek high ponytail or a long dark wig behind the shoulders. Bronze shadow, precise liner and muted red lipstick. A drawstring pouch of light faux coins or gems. Keep the base entirely black so the gold reads. Gold paint chips off foam ears, so I seal it with a flexible varnish. This one dresses up without sequins and adapts easily to any sleeve or shoe preference.
14. Silver Metallic Catwoman Costume

Silver makes Catwoman look futuristic while keeping her sleek shape. A long-sleeved metallic silver jumpsuit, or a silver top with matching leggings, balanced by a matte charcoal ear mask, gray gloves and a dark utility belt. A short silver bob wig keeps it from looking like a generic cat. Smoky gray eyes, black liner, cool highlight and a neutral lip. Silver ankle boots or black combat boots with metallic panels, and a clear pouch of acrylic crystals. Pick a soft metallic knit over stiff foil fabric; foil creases at every joint, and those creases show in every photo.
15. Red Catwoman Costume

Deep red keeps the signature shape and adds drama. A burgundy or crimson jumpsuit with black side panels, a matching ear mask, black gloves, a wide black belt and tall black boots. A high ponytail for a clean, agile look, or a black bob wig for contrast. Red-brown shadow, black liner and a matte burgundy lip. A black pouch with a single faux ruby. Go light on extras, because the red base already pulls focus. In a group where everyone else wears black, this is the one I'd hand to whoever wants to stand out. Stretch jersey or athletic fabric keeps the cost down.
16. Burgundy Velvet Catwoman Costume

Burgundy velvet gives Catwoman a softer, richer mood. A long-sleeve velvet catsuit or matching bodysuit and leggings, a structured burgundy eye mask with pointed ears, black satin gloves and a slim corset-style belt over the top. Long dark waves behind the mask, or a full shoulder-length black wig. Plum shadow, defined lashes and rosewood lipstick. Black block-heel boots ground the color and stay comfortable. A small velvet bag holding a large faux garnet. Velvet pile shows every press mark, so I hang it in a steamy bathroom instead of ironing.
17. Emerald Green Catwoman Costume

Emerald green looks vivid under bright lights. A fitted green jumpsuit in matte stretch fabric or soft velvet, a black ear cowl, long black gloves and a black utility belt so the green looks deliberate. A sleek black bob, or hair hidden under the mask. Deep green shadow, sharp liner, luminous cheeks and a neutral lip. Black knee-high boots with low block heels and a black pouch of faux emeralds. Emerald can tip toward holiday elf if the black accents are too small, so I keep the gloves long and the belt wide. It stands apart in a group of black, purple and gray Catwomen.
18. Monochrome Gray Catwoman Costume

Several grays make a mysterious Catwoman with no gloss at all. A charcoal fitted turtleneck, slate-gray leggings and a lighter gray cropped jacket, with a dark gray ear mask, matching gloves and a black belt with small pouches. A chin-length black wig adds definition, or silver hair for a futuristic note. Blended charcoal shadow, crisp liner and muted mauve lipstick. Flat black riding boots or gray lace-up boots, and a structured mini bag of acrylic jewels. I mix at least three gray tones so it doesn't go flat, and most of these pieces are winter basics you may already own.
19. Faux Leather Separates Catwoman Costume

You don't need a one-piece catsuit. A fitted black faux-leather jacket over a black mock-neck top with high-waisted coated pants, a cat-ear mask, fitted gloves and a wide belt at the natural waist. Pull your hair into a sleek low ponytail so the jacket and mask stay visible. Smoky liner, soft contour and a nude lip. Black ankle boots with sturdy heels and a small belt bag for your phone and keys. Separates are much easier to fit than a jumpsuit, which is why I suggest them to anyone with a long torso, and each piece goes back into your everyday wardrobe.
20. Black Utility Jumpsuit Catwoman Costume

A zip-front utility jumpsuit is a low-effort base. A fitted black one with long sleeves, a defined waist and real pockets, a cat-ear headband over a black domino mask, short gloves and lace-up combat boots. A braided ponytail, or a short black wig for an active look. Strong winged liner, brushed brows, a subtle nose and fine whiskers. Swap the fabric belt for a structured utility belt with one zip pouch, and carry an acrylic diamond. Cotton twill is warmer than a thin bodysuit, so this is my outdoor pick when the forecast turns cool.
21. Bodysuit And Leggings Catwoman Costume

For an inexpensive DIY version, pair a long-sleeve black bodysuit with high-waisted black leggings. Match the finishes so the two pieces read as one; a shiny bodysuit over cotton leggings looks like two outfits. Add a cat-ear headband, black eye mask, stretchy gloves and a wide elastic belt. A smooth ponytail works, or a short dark wig for a more character-specific look. Sharp feline liner, a small black nose and fine whiskers in skin-safe makeup. Knee-high, riding or ankle boots, whichever you can walk in, and a drawstring bag of costume gems. The core pieces are cheap, reusable and easy to find in a wide size range.
22. Turtleneck And Trouser Catwoman Costume

Not everyone wants leggings or a catsuit. A fitted black turtleneck with tapered trousers gives a refined Catwoman with more coverage. Add a structured belt, wrist-length gloves, a black eye mask and a sleek ear headband. A high ponytail or a polished black bob wig. Extended winged liner, softly smoked lids and classic red lipstick give the plain outfit its personality. Pointed ankle boots keep it sharp, and loafers make it fine for school or work. A structured mini bag with removable faux jewels. I'd match the headband to your hair color, because a black band shows clearly on light hair and breaks the line.
23. Little Black Dress Catwoman Costume

A little black dress turns into Catwoman with a few accessories. Choose a long-sleeve mini, a knee-length sheath or a comfortable midi, depending on the event, with opaque tights, a cat-ear eye mask, elbow-length gloves and a wide belt. Loose black waves or a glossy shoulder-length wig. Smoky liner and mascara, plus a small nose and whiskers if you want it playful. Black ankle boots or block-heel knee boots rather than delicate shoes. A jeweled clutch works as both bag and heist prop. This is the version I suggest for a dressier party where a stretch catsuit would feel too costume-heavy.
24. Black Skirt Catwoman Costume

A black skirt makes a playful, easy-moving Catwoman. A fitted mock-neck with a pleated skater skirt, opaque tights and fitted shorts underneath. A black ear mask, wrist-length gloves and a narrow utility belt. A high ponytail or long dark braid keeps hair under control and swings as you move. Winged liner, cool gray shadow and a muted berry lip. Lace-up ankle boots or flat knee-highs. A soft tail can clip to the belt, but I'd only add it if you'll mostly be standing, since tails get sat on and pulled loose. A small faux diamond pouch. It's good for dancing and warmer indoor venues.
25. Corset Belt Catwoman Costume

A corset-style belt adds shape and texture without showing skin. Wear it over a fitted long-sleeve black jumpsuit, or a mock-neck with straight stretch pants. A wide lace-up belt in soft faux leather, a simple ear cowl, long gloves and knee-high boots. Hair tucked into the mask or in a neat low ponytail. Dramatic liner, soft contour and a deep rose lip. A small metallic pouch at the hip holds essentials. Lace it only as tight as lets you breathe, sit and eat; I always do a sit-down test before leaving the house. The full base layer keeps it suitable for public events.
26. Blazer Catwoman Costume

Blazer Catwoman is real fashion with a wink. A fitted bodysuit or camisole under a sharply cut black blazer, with high-waisted trousers or coated leggings. A slim ear mask, black gloves and a polished belt bring in the costume. A sleek bun or smooth bob keeps the neckline clean. Elongated liner, defined brows, luminous skin and berry lipstick. Pointed ankle boots or heeled loafers. A mini briefcase of faux jewels is the joke. I'd steer anyone with an office Halloween party here; the blazer looks professional right up until the mask goes on.
27. Hooded Catwoman Costume

A fitted black hoodie makes a cozy, casual Catwoman. Sew or pin two soft triangle ears to the hood and layer it over a black top and high-waisted leggings, with a simple domino mask, knit gloves and a compact belt bag. Braids under the hood, or a short black wig tucked in. Smudged liner, mascara and a small painted nose are easy for anyone. Black high-tops or lace-up boots for trick-or-treating, and reflective silver piping helps after dark. Hood ears flop unless they have some body, so I cut each from two layers of stiff felt and add a little stuffing at the base. It's warm and goes straight in the wash.
28. Trench Coat Catwoman Costume

A long black trench gives Catwoman an entrance and real warmth. Wear it open over a fitted black jumpsuit or a turtleneck and leggings, with a cat-ear mask, smooth gloves and a utility belt visible underneath. A low ponytail, or a blunt black bob that sits neatly above the collar. Smoky eyes, clean winged liner and a neutral lip. Knee-high block-heel boots. A small hard-shell case of faux gems as the heist prop. Take the coat off indoors to show the full costume; this is the layered version I'd pick for a night of walking between houses or venues.
29. Plus Size Catwoman Costume

A good plus-size Catwoman follows the fit you like rather than hiding your shape. A supportive black jumpsuit, a stretch wrap-style catsuit, or a fitted top with high-rise ponte pants. Define the waist with a comfortable elastic utility belt instead of a rigid corset. A cat-ear mask, flexible gloves and wide-calf knee-highs or sturdy ankle boots. Glossy waves, a high ponytail or a short black wig. Smoky liner, full lashes and rich berry lipstick. A jeweled pouch or crossbody. I look for breathable fabric, secure closures and flat seams first, since a seam that rubs the inner thigh ruins a night faster than any fit issue.
30. Modest Catwoman Costume

Full coverage still makes a sleek, clear Catwoman. A loose black tunic over straight-leg stretch pants, or a relaxed long-sleeve jumpsuit, with a hip-length utility vest or light open coat on top. A cat-ear headpiece over a fitted black head covering, plus a simple eye mask, gloves and a wide belt. Extended liner, neutral shadow and rose lipstick. Flat knee-highs or black sneakers, and a crossbody with removable costume jewels. I keep everything in one color so the ear headpiece becomes the obvious focal point. It suits family gatherings, schools and workplaces with conservative dress rules.
31. Maternity Catwoman Costume

Comfort leads every choice in a maternity Catwoman. A stretchy black maternity jumpsuit, or a long tunic over supportive maternity leggings. Put a soft belt above the bump, never pressing across it. A light ear headband, fabric eye mask and wrist-length gloves cover the character. A low ponytail or loose waves; skip heavy wigs if you run warm. Long-wear winged liner, mascara and a soft berry lip. Cushioned black sneakers, flat ankle boots or supportive riding boots. Foam gems in a light pouch rather than a heavy prop. I'd choose breathable fabric and layers you can peel off as the room heats up.
32. Teen Catwoman Costume

A teen Catwoman can feel current without any fuss. A black long-sleeve athletic top with high-waisted joggers or leggings, a cropped zip hoodie with soft ears, a simple eye mask, fingerless knit gloves and a reflective belt bag. A high ponytail, two braids or a shoulder-length dark wig. Light makeup: winged liner, mascara, a small nose and subtle whiskers. Black high-tops for school events and long walks. A pouch of oversized plastic gems tells the story. Teens tend to pull the mask off within the hour, so I'd make sure the ears and liner carry the look on their own.
33. Kids Catwoman Costume

For a child, softness, clear vision and easy movement come first. A black cotton jumpsuit, a matching sweatshirt and joggers, or a long-sleeve dress with leggings. A padded ear headband and a soft fabric mask that leaves side vision open. A tiny nose and whiskers in washable face paint, tested on the wrist first, and hair in a ponytail or two braids. Stretchy gloves and secure black sneakers, never slippery costume boots. A light belt with a foam gem pouch. Reflective tape on the sleeves and legs helps outdoors. Skip long capes, rigid pieces and dragging tails; kids pull off anything that itches or trips them.
34. Sequin Catwoman Costume

Sequins make Catwoman the brightest person in the room. A black sequin jumpsuit, or a sparkly long-sleeve top with matte black trousers to balance it. A velvet ear mask, fitted gloves and a satin waist belt. A sleek high ponytail or a glossy black bob wig. Silver shadow, dramatic liner, highlighted cheekbones and berry lipstick. Black platform ankle boots or block heels for stability. A rhinestone mini bag with a few faux diamonds. Sequins scratch, so I always look for a fully lined garment with smooth armholes, and I'd test-sit in it too, because sequins on the seat snag on chairs.
35. Rhinestone Catwoman Costume

Placed rhinestones give sparkle without covering the whole outfit. Start with a matte black long-sleeve catsuit and apply clear crystals along the neckline, cuffs, outer legs and ear mask, keeping the pattern symmetrical so it frames the body. Smooth gloves, a narrow silver belt and ankle boots with small crystal buckles. A sleek ponytail, or hair under a fitted cowl. Silver-gray shadow, precise liner, luminous skin and a neutral pink lip. A crystal pouch or oversized acrylic diamond. Use flat-backed gems and a flexible fabric adhesive, and let it cure a full day; gems glued the night before slide off at the first stretch.
36. Punk Catwoman Costume

Punk Catwoman layers black textures. A plain fitted tank over a fine mesh long-sleeve top, coated skinny pants and a cropped faux-leather vest. A studded ear headband, black domino mask, fingerless gloves and a grommet belt. A high ponytail with temporary silver streaks, or a short tousled black wig. Smudged charcoal liner with sharp wings and dark berry lipstick. Lace-up platform boots and a chain-trimmed pouch of plastic gems. Keep the studs smooth and light; pointed metal snags mesh and anyone you hug. It still keeps the mask, ears and one-color palette that make her Catwoman.
37. Gothic Catwoman Costume

Gothic Catwoman is dramatic without being frightening. A high-neck black velvet dress with a fitted waist over opaque tights, a lace-trimmed ear mask, elbow-length gloves and a structured waist belt. Long dark waves, or a center-parted black wig. Charcoal and plum shadow, extended liner and deep rose lipstick. Victorian-style lace-up ankle boots or comfortable knee-highs. A small velvet bag with antique-silver faux gems. Keep the hem off the floor so you can walk. Lace along a mask edge scratches near the eyes, so I line the back of the mask with a thin layer of felt.
38. Steampunk Catwoman Costume

Steampunk Catwoman mixes feline details with inventive vintage clothes. A fitted black blouse, a brown or charcoal waistcoat and high-waisted tapered trousers. A corset belt worn comfortably over the blouse, and an ear headband decorated with light bronze gears. Set round goggles above the ears, not over the eyes. A braided updo or wavy dark-brown wig. Bronze shadow, sharp liner and a muted burgundy lip. Fingerless gloves and brown lace-up ankle boots, with a satchel of faux clock parts and acrylic gems. I'd skip anything heavy on the headband, since even a few metal gears pull the ears backward.
39. Retro Pinup Catwoman Costume

The 1950s pinup Catwoman is a playful break from the catsuit. A black fit-and-flare midi with a purple belt and a short matching capelet, a small ear mask, wrist-length gloves and opaque tights. Victory rolls, or a curled black wig with a side part. Classic winged liner, defined lashes, flushed cheeks and red lipstick. Block-heel pumps or ankle-strap shoes that feel secure. A structured handbag full of oversized faux jewels, and a removable tail on the belt if you want one. Victory rolls hold best on second-day hair with a little texture spray, rolled around two fingers and pinned from underneath.
40. Disco Catwoman Costume

Disco Catwoman is shimmer and flares. A black or deep-purple metallic jumpsuit with a fitted top and wide legs, a glitter-trimmed ear mask, a silver belt and elbow-length gloves. Big curls or a full dark wig. Smoky purple shadow, dramatic liner, luminous highlight and glossy berry lipstick. Platform boots with stable soles and moderate height. A mirrored pouch of colorful faux gems, and big hoop earrings only if they're light. Glitter trim sheds onto everything, so I seal the glittered edges with clear fabric glue to keep it on the mask and off your face.
41. Cyberpunk Catwoman Costume

Neon piping turns plain black into a futuristic Catwoman. A matte black utility jumpsuit or fitted top with paneled cargo leggings, a geometric ear visor that leaves the eyes clear, reflective gloves, a segmented belt and combat boots. Temporary electric-blue streaks in a short dark wig or ponytail. Blue graphic liner, silver inner-corner highlight and a neutral lip. Battery LED trim along the shoulders and belt, with every wire enclosed. I tuck the battery pack into a belt pouch so you can switch it off or swap batteries easily. A clear crossbody of iridescent crystals, and no more than one or two accent colors.
42. Futuristic White Catwoman Costume

This clean sci-fi take is white and silver. A white fitted jumpsuit with gray side panels, or a silver cropped vest over white stretch separates. A smooth white ear mask, metallic belt, pale gloves and silver ankle boots. A platinum pixie wig, or light hair in a sharp ponytail. Cool silver shadow, extended gray liner, pearly highlight and soft pink lipstick. A clear mini case of iridescent gems, and very little hardware. White masks show fingerprints and makeup, so I handle mine only by the edges and keep a wipe in the bag. The pale palette stands out in bright venues.
43. Rainy Weather Catwoman Costume

Wet weather needn't ruin Catwoman. A black water-resistant jumpsuit, or coated pants with a fitted rain jacket. Choose a hooded jacket with soft ears attached on top, then a water-resistant eye mask, fitted gloves and a secure belt bag. Two tight braids, or hair tucked under the hood. Waterproof liner, mascara and a long-wear berry lip. Black rain boots with cushioned insoles, plus reflective gray strips for visibility. Faux gems go in a clear zip pouch rather than fabric. Felt ears go limp in the rain, so I make hood ears from fleece or foam that shrugs off water. It's the one for damp parades and trick-or-treating.
44. Cold Weather Catwoman Costume

When it's cold, build the sleek shape from warm layers. Thermal leggings and a fitted heat-retaining top, then a black fleece-lined jumpsuit or belted puffer. A knit ear balaclava or fleece hood instead of a thin plastic mask. Insulated gloves, a reflective utility belt and lined knee-high boots with nonslip soles. Braids under the hood, or temporary silver streaks around the face. Waterproof liner, charcoal shadow and tinted balm. A light crossbody of foam jewels. Cheap plastic masks turn brittle in real cold, which is another reason I swap them for fabric. Keep every layer black so it still reads as one silhouette.
45. Warm Weather Catwoman Costume

For a warm party or mild night, think about breathing first. A sleeveless black utility jumpsuit with light arm cuffs or short gloves, or a moisture-wicking fitted top with cropped stretch pants. A slim ear mask, a narrow belt bag and breathable black sneakers or perforated ankle boots. A high ponytail keeps hair off the neck. Waterproof liner, mascara, a light base and a berry lip stain. One acrylic gem instead of a heavy bag. Matte athletic fabric keeps you far cooler than thick faux leather, which traps heat within minutes of dancing.
46. Last Minute Catwoman Costume

Need Catwoman tonight? Dress all in black: a fitted top, leggings or jeans and comfortable ankle boots. Cut two triangles from black felt and glue or stitch them to a plain headband, angled slightly outward. Make a mask from soft craft foam and ribbon, or trim an old black sleep mask and cut eye holes. A high ponytail, eyeliner wings, a small nose and thin whiskers. Winter gloves and a belt bag or small black purse with a few costume gems inside for photos. If the felt ears won't stand, a strip of thin card glued inside each one fixes it in a minute.
47. Thrifted Catwoman Costume

A thrift store can supply nearly every piece. Look for a black zip-front jumpsuit, a fitted jacket, stretch pants, gloves and walkable boots. Mixed textures of matte, satin and faux leather add depth rather than looking wrong. Make ears from felt scraps on a secondhand headband, and trim a plain sleep mask into a cat mask. A ponytail or an inexpensive dark wig. Smoky liner, defined brows and berry lipstick. A used belt and a small purse filled with light costume jewelry. Wash everything first and try the whole outfit on together; that's usually when a stiff zipper or a boot that rubs gives itself away.
48. No Sew Catwoman Costume

This no-sew version uses ready-made clothes and removable fasteners. A black bodysuit or fitted shirt with leggings. Cut ears from stiff felt, fold the bases around a headband and secure them with fabric-safe adhesive dots. A bought domino mask, or one trimmed from flexible craft foam. Gloves, a wide elastic belt and black boots, with reflective tape or peel-and-stick silver vinyl as optional detail. A slick ponytail, or a black beanie set behind the ears. Winged liner, a tiny nose and whiskers, plus a drawstring pouch of faux gems. Adhesive dots loosen when warm, so I add one extra dot per ear and press each for a full minute. Every piece separates and gets reused.
49. Masquerade Catwoman Costume

A decorative mask makes Catwoman right for a formal masquerade. A long black velvet jumpsuit or an elegant fitted midi with opaque tights. A sculpted ear mask trimmed with silver and small crystals, satin gloves, a narrow jeweled belt and pointed ankle boots or secure block heels. A smooth chignon, polished waves or a sleek black bob. Smoky outer corners, luminous skin and deep berry lipstick to suit the mask. A silver clutch with removable faux gems. Let the mask be the centerpiece and keep the rest small. A mask on a stick tires your arm within an hour, so I'd pick one with ribbon ties for a night of dancing.
50. Jeweled Heist Catwoman Costume

The jewel-thief story takes center stage in this last one. A sleek black jumpsuit with a structured ear cowl, long gloves, a silver utility belt and knee-high boots. Rhinestone trim around the mask and cuffs, with the main clothing matte so the gems stand out. Dark hair in a low ponytail or hidden under the cowl. Smoky gray shadow, bold winged liner, highlighted cheekbones and rich plum lipstick. A clear case or velvet pouch of oversized acrylic diamonds, pearls and colored stones. Close every prop firmly; a pouch that spills plastic gems across a dance floor is a slipping hazard. This version tells its story at a glance.
Faux Leather, Vinyl or Matte Jersey for the Catsuit
The catsuit fabric decides how your night goes more than the pattern does. Each common choice has its trade-offs.
- Stretch faux leather looks right and holds its shape, but it doesn't breathe. In a crowded room it gets hot and clingy quickly, and the coating can crack where it creases at the knees.
- Shiny vinyl gives the classic gloss and shows up well on camera, though it squeaks, traps sweat and has very little give. I'd only suggest it for a short party where you mostly stand.
- Matte jersey or athletic knit is the comfortable choice for a long night, a walk or dancing. It still reads as Catwoman as long as the ears, mask and belt are strong.
- Stretch velvet sits in between: soft, warm and kind to sit in, with a little sheen.
Whatever you choose, sit, crouch and lift your arms in it before the event. If the crotch seam pulls or the zipper strains, size up and cinch the waist with the belt rather than putting up with it all night.
Winged Liner That Survives a Mask
A mask rests right where winged liner sits, so the wings smudge unless you plan for it. I draw the liner first, wait a minute, then put the mask on and see where its edge lands. If it touches the wing, I shorten the flick or angle it lower so it peeks out below the mask instead.
Waterproof gel or liquid liner holds up better than pencil under a mask. Press a little translucent powder over the lids, and test any new product on the inside of your wrist a day ahead. At the end of the night, an oil cleanser or micellar water on a cotton pad lifts waterproof liner without tugging the skin. Wipe the inside of the mask too, so it's clean for next time.
Black, Ears, a Mask and a Little Loot
A good Catwoman balances that feline silhouette with clothes you can actually wear for hours. A fitted black base, pointed ears, an eye mask, gloves, confident makeup and practical shoes create the character without an expensive packaged suit. Purple, gray, green, red, white and metallic versions give plenty of room to make it yours, and coverage, warmth, fabric and heel height can all shift with the event. A few jewels in a compact pouch add the story without weighing you down. Above all, I'd choose pieces that fit securely and let you move, for Halloween, cosplay, a school day or a themed party.
